It's gonna take a real badass movie to top The Substance for my favorite new watch.
I have some pretty glaring questions that kind of go unanswered. Wanna talk about it in a new thread for the movie or the random chat so we don't spoil the movie for anyone else?
Start a spoiler thread. I would like to discuss it because with that there's gonna be questions

When Evil Lurks was my favorite new watch of last year
Fuck it. That one's next then. I'll put it in in the next hour or two. Currently building a web application through a MYsql Database and JetBrains Rider for a final project in this coding trade school I'm going through.

Thread created. Nobody go in there unless you've seen it.
Is there a rule against seeing a movie twice for the challenge? Never really thought about it, but I'm considering possibly one more theater viewing of The Substance before it disappears forever.

there is a rule against it. i've tried before to get away with it, once with commentary and one without. and it's a no go.

How good was A Return to Salem's Lot? I haven't seen it and it seems to have generally awful reviews. I would blind buy it but it's going for around 30 bucks and I am not ready to pay that much for a movie if it's worse than bad.

Not worth 30 in my opinion
I'd like to bang out a back-to-back when I have extra time and watch both Salem's Lot and Return but if Return is that bad I'll just stick with a rewatch of Salem's Lot and move on.
Dr. Satán (1966) might sound hokey - an evil scientist, zombie henchmen, a counterfiet money operation, and an Interpol investigation - but it was played straight, and Joaquín Cordero did a solid job as the titular Dr. Satán. Plus, the devil himself made two appearances, which was fun.

I last watched Return in October 2022 and gave it a C grade
