Best horror movie of the 21st century?!?!
i can not abide your blasphemous tongue (or fingers)! :P
It gave me literal goosebumps. It wasn't overly dramatic. No overacting. Completely unpredictable. Unique. It just hit the spot for me. Is it the best of the 21st century? It is absolutely in the conversation.
"in the conversation" seems more fair.
I can't say definitively that it is the best of this century, but I also cannot definitively think of a movie in the last 24 years that is for sure better. It could be top 5. It could be 1. I really don't know. But it's right there with It Follows, Let The Right One In, etc...
our top fives will just have to be significantly different. :P
No Let the Right One In? I know you're big on Descent (which I will probably rewatch for this challenge) but I figure that would make the cut.

And shit I forgot Ginger Snaps is relatively new. That's a top 5er.
you can do a triple feature of my 2000s favorites, ginger snaps, may, and the descent! :P

Ghostbusters is a comedy, Dead Alive is a horror comedy. This is a romantic comedy with a zombie. They kill people for parts for the zombie, but it's not overly graphic. Mostly comedy, but with a bit of horror thrown in. I'd say it's less horror than Army of Darkness.

the funhouse mirror scene was pretty decent. i wish they had more scares like that instead of him just popping up with a quip or a pun. i want to like this flick. :P

Dr. Giggles is also a possibility for me in this challenge. I haven't seen it. Also considering the two Dentist movies.

Haven't seen Dr. Giggles in at least eight years, but I remember it being pretty fun. Recently revisited The Dentist, and though flawed, it's not a bad time, I feel.

Just finished the new Salem's Lot. I don't have a problem with them going a movie route vs. mini-series (as both the 1979 and 2004 versions were), but instead of just being an hour and 54 minutes, I wish they had added on an extra hour. About three hours seems good for a story like they, so they missed the boat there.

netflix lists monster as having no dialogue. they lied! :P though so far it was just calling out someone's name, so i guess that's a pass as long as it doesn't happen again.

I'll watch those at some point. In fact, I have a list of sequels I need to get to. At last count, there's 132 individual series I need to continue, so X would make that 133.

Actually, because I watched Unnamable 2, it goes back down to 132, but apparently Dr. Satan has a sequel, so it's 133 now. I live a hard life. :P
