Only time for two movies today, so starting with the 1948 British film House of Darkness. Hope it's worth it, as some British films from around that time period can come across as stuffy (the 1950 Fall of the House of Usher, for instance).

in the end credits, it's called "saturday night clever". is that typo just for amazon or is it further than that?

The correct spelling is "Cleaver" :P

I just remembered last year I bought The Poop's Exorcist with Russell Crowe and never got around to watching it for last year's challenge. How good is it?

This was a lot of fun. Apparently this was Laurence Harvey's first role (he was later in movies like Welcome to Arrow Beach and Night Watch), but he knocked it out of the park. Not a great movie, but I had a decent amount of fun with it.

that aside, it worked for me. i'm reading critics saying there were too many creatures running around, that it was a slow boring version of the evil dead. etc. but i didn't get that from it.

Nijiotoko, or The Rainbow Man, was quite an interesting movie. A bit like an old dark house mystery, with a dysfunctional family, mistaken identities, and family secrets. Had more fun with it than I thought, especially for a 1949 Japanese movie.

I knew she'd like the personality clash aspect of it (she's a therapist) and does find enjoyment in just about any movie. I just refrained from telling her about the crazy gross stuff. :P

She wanted to see the new Joker movie and when she saw the awful reviews I told her Substance was the shit and I'd see it again since it's been extended another week in my area.
