Cinematically perhaps. But I think the pop culture influences tend to be in stories for Hollywood, not as cultural impacts like F13 did. To me anyway.zombie wrote:but no less important culturally, is my point.showa58taro wrote:Foo don't Foreign. Hell, I'd give more credit to Steve Miner than I would Cunningham, for the direction of the franchise, since he brought the iconic mask that made it a cultural signature. Cunningham disowned the franchise (acted embarrassed having made the first one for a quick buck) until he decided to try to ride the money in 93 and now tries to act like he's Wes Fucking Craven.showa58taro wrote:LOL indeed.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Not anywhere as much as he thinks he is.zombie wrote:friday the 13th is a film or film series. is sean cunningham remembered culturally?showa58taro wrote:Cinematically perhaps. I went and saw Annabelle: Creation yesterday and some lady brought her two 4-5 year old sons. They witnessed some stuff a child really shouldn't see at that age, but they never acted scared or screamed once. If we can get at least a handful of children like that across the world, I think the next generation is gonna grow up to be troopers and keep Horror alive.
