Pennywise's expression on his face and change of tone in his voice when Georgie finally began trusting him and asked "Do they float". That was the moment Pennywise knew he had him, and Curry executed it perfectly. You could literally hear the ecstasy and excitement in his voice for the hell he is about to unleash on this kid. The shining moment of the movie, in my opinion.

IT may be the best movie ever to establish camaraderie in a group of friends. It feels so natural and real, and bringing them together to fight an evil monster that only they know about. Man, it's excellent. Just a shame about that final showdown.

I'm biased in that I thought the film sucked, and much prefer the first adaptation in The Curse. Other than that, there's Bleeders, Call of Cthulhu(silent film), and Whisperer in the Darkness for good adaptations. There are plenty others that aren't the best adaptations, but are good films nonetheless.

The child actor that plays Ben looks almost identical to a childhood bully I had in elementary school. He didn't really bully me much, but he was kind of the known shit heel and nobody could really so anything about it because he was twice as big as any kid in school, and this movie was always interesting from my viewpoint as a kid because he looked exactly like the character in the movie but had the opposite personality. Lol. The body of Ben Hanscom with the personality of Henry Bowers! :P

The very first time I watched the movie IT (VHS era, double tape), I walked outside and a red balloon floated into the yard. Not kidding.

Of those, I highly recommend Bleeders. Incestuous hermaphroditic cannibal midgets. What's not to love? There's also The Lurking Fear, which is the lower budget adaptation of the same book, but with Jeffrey Combs.

Young Eddie in the shower has to be P. Diddy's favorite scene of this movie.
