Was it really 50 miles away? Guess I never caught that, would agree. I ain't driving all that way just for a shitty lake and it's raft.

Yeah, it's a really quick line at the beginning of the bit while they're driving.

I guess it IS Arizona, and the college pool probably has staff that wouldn't want them doing certain things (weed, orgy, whatever they planned), but still, 50 miles out of the way?

DancesWithWerewolves wrote: Mon Oct 28, 2024 8:04 am Because it follows the book more closely, I had a feeling Jig would love it, even though it's pretty ass lol. (the book is barely mediocre to begin with, its sequel books are much better though)
I've never read the book myself, and to be honest, I don't know if I even knew the book had sequels. :P

I mean, I'm not saying it's a good movie; still gave it a below average rating, but until I revisit the first movie, which perhaps I was too harsh on, yeah, it's the best of the four, in my view.

A conflict I've always had in my head but never asked it here...

What's a better double header: Phantasm and Phantasm II or Creepshow and Creepshow 2

No. But I'm kind of aiming for upper echelon. So The Exorcist and Black Christmas are absolutely gonna be included. Creepshow and Creepshow 2 as well.

i would say that the first two phantasm films are more consistent quality. creepshow 2 doesn't hold up as well as the original to me, despite the raft being awesome.

Without refreshing my memory on the movies, I would also say Phantasm and Phantasm II. I honestly love all the stories in Creepshow 2. The Raft is probably my least favorite of the three. Lol.

Yes. I need to refresh on his original 3. I haven't decided if I'm gonna revisit them all or not. But those are up there as well.
