The only horror films that we annually watch around this time of year are Black Christmas (1974), Krampus, Silent Night, Deadly Night, & New Year's Evil.

black christmas, gremlins, p2 are some of my usual favorites to watch around this time of year.

What's your opinion of the Black Christmas remakes?

the first remake with michelle trachtenberg and all is fun splatter. i loathe the newer one. it only feels like they took the name and nothing else. meh.

I still haven't watched the newer one and probably won't.
The 2006 version was alright, as you said splatter fun but the original is one of the best slasher films ever made imo.

I'll be flying to Colorado tomorrow. My uncle was diagnosed with, I think, brain and lung cancer. My dad's older brother. I'll be around the Lakewood area from tomorrow until Tuesday. Staying at a hotel with my dad and his younger brother who is coming in from Oregon. Booked Casa Bonita for Friday afternoon. Flight is scheduled to land in Denver 90 minutes before my reservation. We'll see how that goes. Not exactly sure the condition of my Dad's older brother, but we might look into a Nuggets game on Friday night and/or an Avalanche game on Saturday night and/or Broncos on Sunday. Remains to be seen.
