The woman in that video deserves scrutiny and blame just as much as the politicians, and she was the DEI hire. They wanted retarded lesbians handling these disasters, well now Los Angeles is gone.zombie wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 1:56 pmread more carefully. i did not call you an asshole.Jason wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 1:49 pm [
They frame their position to get reactions like yours out of people. They specifically recruit non-whites, gays and lesbians as opposed to recruiting people who are qualified for the job regardless of their race or gender. It's anti-white at its core, and if you point this out, then you're a bigoted asshole.
Most firefighters go through their entire career as a firefighter and never raise in the ranks. Forget about being a fire chief or an assistant fire chief. This lesbian got the job. Do you think she is either physically or mentally qualified? Do you want this person in charge of keeping you safe from a fire?
diversity is not the problem. hiring unqualified people is the problem. and that is a fault of the bosses, but the hires will get all the scrutiny and blame. and by extension the groups that the hires happen to belong to will also get scrutiny and blame.

that woman is a jerk and may also be unqualified for the job. so ben shapiro and steven crowder can blame all lesbians and "diversity hires" in any other positions to deflect from the bigger picture and to polarize their viewers and readers against people who fit into those categories.Jason wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 1:58 pmThe woman in that video deserves scrutiny and blame just as much as the politicians, and she was the DEI hire. Re: California Burning
Diversity hiring is a major reason why this is happening. A truck driver in Colorado had his brakes fail on the interstate going downhill. He couldn't stop and was a runaway truck. Ended up killing a few people. Received 250 years in prison. The public outraged at this sentencing. It was an accident. Finally they reduced it to ten years. One could argue that if that man should receive jail time, all the politicians and diversity hires should also be in prison.zombie wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 2:03 pm that woman is a jerk and may also be unqualified for the job. so ben shapiro and steven crowder can blame all lesbians and "diversity hires" in any other positions to deflect from the bigger picture and to polarize their viewers and readers against people who fit into those categories.

Re: California Burning
Here's another example of how absolutely retarded California is...
Oregon sent 60 firetrucks to help with the emergency and they're all stopped in San Francisco for emissions testing.
The entire city of Los Angeles is a giant flame and they're not allowing these trucks to help unless they each pass an emissions test. I genuinely ask if it can be any dumber than this...

Re: California Burning
sounds like greed instead of maintaining vehicles is the problem there, not the driver. that looks like an example of blaming the hire, instead of the real problem. i don't know the full story.Jason wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 2:10 pmDiversity hiring is a major reason why this is happening. Re: California Burning
I'm still stuck on the likelihood that Gavin Newsom and developers are trying to build apartments in Palisades where all the homes burned down, and are still burning. This is literally evil beyond words.

Re: California Burning
indeed. but it has also become typical behavior in the wake of disasters.
Re: California Burning
I don't think Newsom had much of a chance of being president but this outta make it and impossibility. Probably Could still get a California senate seat down the road but I hope not.

Re: California Burning
You don't really see this type of thing in Tornado alley. Probably because it's not cities as populated as Los Angeles, but communities come together and rebuild beautifully. Happens every year. The Jarrell disaster wiped out an entire housing track and killed 27 people. The entire housing track was decided by the homeowners and victims to be turned into a memorial ground for those who died. There's a lot of humanity in disasters, but incidents like that helps put into perspective the alternate reality of the evil that is on the other side.

Re: California Burning
Let it be known that I voted Larry Elder to recall Newsom. And this wasn't a vote for diversity either.

that is a nice story.
Re: California Burning
My wife came from Georgia (the country) when she was 14 and lived in the L.A. area until we bought a house in my desert promised land. She is absolutely ignorant to politics and I never discuss it with her because she is blissfully unaware of how depressing it is to follow the shit.
But she's transfixed with everything that's going on in the areas she grew up and is reading and watching everything and seeing everyone shitting on the politicians. She's starting to get mad and trying to understand why they would do this, why they wouldn't do that, etc... I'd rather she not read the stuff, but she's asking me a lot of questions.

Good grief. Anything credible I have read and actually talked to firefighters worth a piss all agree, you're grasping at straws. The best way to beat a wild fire is in the air and the 100 mph winds absolutely fucked that. Throw a million more gallons of water and firemen on the ground and it's throwing paper towels on a mudslide. That unfilled reservoir, a 1000 more firemen and that 17 million is a one hour drop in the bucket to the train of devastation coming through.

Re: California Burning
Pretty much. Joe Rogan even mentioned talking to a firefighter that said if the wind is right, all of LA is toast. But, everyone wants to feed into the rage bait instead of using their fucking brains.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 3:14 pm Good grief. Re: California Burning
Shockingly, my white male LAFD firefighter friend has not attributed any of the issues here to “DEI” like the online right has.
Not removing until John Elway is fired.
Re: California Burning
No shit. But the thousands of homes that could have been saved if the fire hydrants actually had water is the main focus here. Not to mention the government funding the illegal homeless who are starting fires to loot properties and businesses is also not ideal.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 3:14 pm Good grief. unaddressed homeless illegals immigrants starting fires +
unkept dead wood in the forests =
rage toward politicians warranted

Re: California Burning
Definitely no reason to be upset at politicians for this. It's nobody's fault they defunded brush cleanup. It's the wind's fault you brainless idiots!
