also for best screenplay. it really is great for the noms but i'm not optimistic about the chance to win.

I actually think its another nail in the Academy. It's fine to nominate Demi, wild performances get nominated. But to nominate the Substance, our little Basket Case with a budget here, for Picture, Director and Writing, up against stuff like the Brutalist and Conclave? It looks like a joke.

it is gonna go to conclave or the brutalist is my guess. maybe dune 2 but people are saying it came out too early and people are overlooking it now. i don't know about that. but one of the three. granted i've yet to see any of them, so take that with a grain of salt, i guess.

Sorry, I was talking about Emiliana Perez. Figured everyone knew Wicked was a musical at this point given how much it's been talked about recently(in general, not here).

I enjoy some of the Golden Age musicals. I saw Wicked on Broadway, didn’t see the need to see it as a movie.
