So why have Cody show up on Raw to talk about what happened with The Rock (on Smackdown) and then have a segment with Seth? WTF. The booking for this years WrestleMania has been just off so far. I'm glad Bianca and Naomi lost the tag titles but again I ask where the heck is Jade? Last night was the perfect spot for her return... yet nothing!

The build for Gunther and Jey has been...alright. But nothing too exciting.

They keep pushing this Penta guy when right now they need to focus on building up more stories for WM.

Like I said, they build this year has felt way off compared to the last few years. Triple H needs to step it up with the build for this years Mania or it's going to fall flat quickly.

This is going to be interesting for sure. I'm especially curious to see what story they tell here. Cena is a guy who already has everything so what more could he want? Why sell himself to The Rock, a man he had a bitter feud with over a decade ago?

Cena wins at WM, there's no way he doesn't! I love how they played this out, the biggest heel turn since Hogan in 96.

Jade's return was the other highlight of the night. She beat the shit out of Naomi! And while I am not convinced (yet) that Naomi was the one who attacked her this could go several interesting directions.

Triple H has this stupid subplot with Iyo Sky... why? Bianca vs. Rhea is a big money WM match that sells itself. SO I just don't get this stupid crap with Iyo. Nothing against her but I really hope they don't fuck us out of this dream match YET AGAIN!

Iyo winning last night was complete and utter bullshit! Nothing against her, I think she's a good in ring talent but come on man!

I just don't get why WWE continues to drop the ball on this. Bianca vs. Rhea is big money and easily a main event level match for a card like WM. And this is the second time they have dropped the ball with this match up. It should have been cut and dry, fucking clear. Bianca wins the chamber and challenges Rhea but nooooooo. Paul has to go and book this stupid angle with Iyo for no goddman reason, now Iyo is champ and as you and Hans said it will end up a triple threat and so the magic of what could have been is lost. And for what? For a mid carder like Iyo who (lets be real) is boring as fuck to be on the WM card?

I've been disappointed for years waiting on this match and now, now I'm angry lol. There's no other way to put it. And I know that won't change anything but I'm giving up on it at this point, it's obviously not happening. The only reasoning I can think of to why this match is teased but never comes to fruition is because of backstage politics. Probably some BS between the two women, neither wanting to take the loss to the other. The same reason why we never got Austin vs. Hogan, Rock vs. Roman, Undertaker vs. Sting etc.

Damn shame.

CM Punk effect, not everyone can main event Mania unfortunately. Honestly I don't think it is politics, at least not right now. It's the women do not have enough juice to main event WM and draw like the men, sorry, and everyone wants on the card. They could main event a lesser PLE which is where I think they are taking the 1-on-1 match.

Women have main evented WM more than once in the past few years. There was the triple threat between Becky, Rhonda, and Charlotte, now that one was a bit forgettable but not terrible imo. Then there was Bianca vs. Sasha. And it main evented night 1 of WM 37. Perhaps those didn't generate enough juice as you put it, idk.

I can't remember a single thing about any of those chick main event matches. And if it wasn't was for Charlotte just coming back, the only woman listed there still around and relevant would be Bianca. Meaning, what a waste of a spot.

Meanwhile, the men are STACKED with legends, peak performers, and up and comers that are killing to main event with actual storylines in play.

If any politics are in play, it's that the girls are bitching a fit and want the main event when it's mid card for Mania.

Maybe it's just me but the build to this years WrestleMania just doesn't feel all that exciting.
With the exception of the John Cena heel turn and the match between him and Cody. Everything else just feel either bland or a let down.

Roman seems like he's getting stuck in a triple threat with Seth and Punk. Feels like a waste for all three IMO.

Bianca vs. Rhea could have FINALLY HAPPENED. But instead we are stuck with another (possible) triple threat match, this one with the boring IYO. (Unless they pivot and have Bianca beat IYO on night one and on night two we get the dream match with Rhea.)

Gunther vs. Jey - I mean we've seen this match how many times already? We just saw it back in January. I like them both but again, this is nothing new and the build has so far been bland.

Jade vs. Naomi - while this match hasn't been formally announced yet it seems like a given for night one. I enjoyed Jade's awesome attach on Naomi at the chamber but I suspect this will be a squash match if not then close enough.

Tiffany vs. Charlotte - This match has potential but yet again the build has been less than exciting.

In short, the past three WM seasons were pretty solid IMO. I don't know what the issue is this year but they need to step it up quickly.

Cena's promo highlights a major flaw in this modern era. Having these guys yammer on for 15 fucking minutes about absolutely nothing so they can fill 3 hours is getting really old.

They didn't need a reason for him to turn heel, he could keep dropping the mic. But that was god awful.
