Would be a convenient way for him to silence his witnesses, lolzombie wrote:well, i'm sure that a few of you wouldn't mind seeing the whole "whedonverse" commit mass suicide....DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Eh, I see Joss as more of Jim Jones of Feminism

Re: Hello, my name is: Feminism
This is all irresponsible speculation on my part, but Whedon strikes me as the type of guy who would project his brand of feminism in every direction, and then when he actually gets women in the room with him he becomes weird, creepy, maybe even a bit obsessive/possessive. That's not an uncommon quality in filmmakers (*cough* Hitchcock *cough*) but it seems to me that Whedon has been pretty manipulative with his platform.

Sounds reasonable. Maybe too reasonable for 2017.

"Misidentification
In November 2013 it was reported that Watkins had been receiving hate mail through Twitter from people confusing him with Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins, who had recently pleaded guilty to 11 sex offences involving children. Watkins received a public apology in court from E! Entertainment Television for their having used his photo to illustrate a story about the other Watkins. Watkins was also said to be "furious" and pursuing legal action after his image appeared next to stories about the other Watkins' crimes through searches on Google News."

Re: Hello, my name is: Feminism
Oh man that sucks. That's so wrong. If it's the guy I was thinking of, he's done a few comedy music shows and is genuinely a lovely guy. This lost prophets guy sounds like the cunt of cunts. Finally found a link to the guy and he sounds massively ducking creepy. Happy to not think about him again.zombie wrote:you aren't alone.showa58taro wrote: That's worse. I thought it was this guy.
