Immediate reaction at the end of the football season is he's easily in the top 5, and now undrafted is beginning to look realistic.

At this point you might want to go undrafted. Quicker runway to your second contract and pick your spot.

Some say he should go back to college for his final year away from the Buffs.

No clue how any of the legal stuff works but I would think he’s stuck after the deadline to declare/go back.

Undrafted would be good for him. Pick a nice spot to try and compete for QB1 and prove his worth. The chip on his shoulder will always be there now.
