Re: MLB 2025
Not that I'm aware of. They're on pace to break the record for worst season in the history of baseball if that's what you might be referring to.

Re: MLB 2025
They had the worst April of any team in history or summat like that. Even when we had to field girls and shit because the mens were off fighting in wars or such.
Just say the word, El El Sucio, ohhhh!

Re: MLB 2025
Ownership doesn't care about winning. They never draft to their needs and trade away good players to build up an awful farm system. Team needs to be sold immediately, fans have been calling for this for over a decade and ownership isn't budging.

Re: MLB 2025
Is there a reason the Kroenkes haven’t tried to buy them
Re: MLB 2025
It's been mentioned by fans that they should. No idea if they tried or even want to. Would be the dream scenario though, really. They seem to know what the fuck they're doing between the Avs, Nuggets and Rams.
Sell the Rams and buy the Rockies imo.

Re: MLB 2025
They’re a little cheap on the margins (the Nuggets have the cheapest facilities in the league and they don’t pay GMs; Arsenal notoriously doesn’t spend) but overall they are good owners
Re: MLB 2025
The Monforts are only cheap when it comes to buying talent. They'll spend all kinds of money on a party deck though. As long as people keep buying tickets they won't budge. My only fear is if the fans finally do stop showing up, they'll use it as an excuse to move the team somewhere.

Re: MLB 2025
The 2025 Rockies may legitimately be the worst team in the history of baseball. I should try out and save this shit franchise.

Two guys. They probably also do laundry.
Re: MLB 2025
I've been planning to contact the Rocks directly to see if they'll let me do software shit remotely but I'm not holding out hopes. Probably have a better shot at playing centerfield. Lmao

Re: MLB 2025
So I did a bit of a deep dive into their personnel and analytics. The Rockies currently have seven employees total in analytics (up one from last season, yippee) and their Head Manager of Baseball Research (from 2021-2024) who was responsible for advanced scouting was a woman named Brittany Haby, who was originally hired on by the Rockies in 2018 through MLB's Inaugural Diversity Fellowship Program and was given a promotion to Head Manager of Baseball Research. In her own words, she credits her college softball experience as a catcher in getting herself to this position, citing the similarities of advanced scouting to calling pitches as a catcher in softball. “I really loved being able to start off an at-bat with a changeup, which is very uncommon, and I could tell which batters I could do that with. Honestly, I can’t tell you how. It’s intuition with that kind of thing. Sometimes it would be the high changeup. I’d give the sign and be like [signing thumb up] to her to steal it right off the top of the zone.”
In short, a literal diversity hire was promoted to Head Manager of Baseball Operations based on collegiate softball experience and (get this) women's intuition behind home plate.

Re: MLB 2025
The Dodgers have 30+ analytics personnel lol. The Rockies probably have a cool Excel table.
Re: MLB 2025
I'm really starting to think I can gloss my way into employment with them. LMAO. I'll ask for 180k to start (Monforts got plenty of money!) with an absolute guarantee of at least 40 wins next season.

Re: MLB 2025
Someone from a software engineering trade school I was debating attending was said to have gotten on with the Dodgers in analytics right out of the gate.

Re: MLB 2025
Rockies are 2 innings away from improving (lol) to 7-33 on the year. Just gotta not give up 6 runs in the interim.
