maybe i'm ready to come back, i don't know. but a couple people asked about details and stuff for running away. it's just a lot of stuff compounding. personal stuff and all of the hollywood crap and the political situation and arguing almost at each other's throats sometimes. and i think too much about things and i kind of feel like garbage, for a lot of reasons. and i'm not looking for sympathy or anything. just trying to get my mindset across cause, again, some of you asked why.

i feel like i need more conservation, more discussion, and less waiting for the chance to mud sling at each other. i'm kind of over the competition debate style that i've fallen into lately. i don't want to prove myself better than anyone else. (maybe a lot of that is cause i'd lose out)... i'm more feeling like discussing things is more productive, than arguing things. *shrug*

Good to see you back, my man. Problem with the politics section is that it's got a bunch of us competitive sport fanatic meathead types, it's just generally what's ingrained in us when we hit the ground running. It's nothing personal. And as such, such things are a lot more carefree and no big deal when debating Freddy vs Jason or summat, not much real feelings involved there.

Why am I forced to pay 1300 dollars out of my pocket a year for health insurance when it won't even cover a simple blood draw?

I pay a little over two grand a year and it covers pretty much everything with a small copay for both me and mark.

if you have spotify, (free or not) there is a section for podcasts. it's a little small but it's there. i don't know of anywhere else, but i'm sure it exists. i mostly just bump around youtube.

we could do our own thread for that kind of thing. just recommend a bunch of podcasts to each other.

Stuff They Don't Want You To Know is a fun conspiracy driven podcast.

Stuff You Should Know is a random assortment of things (How different things work, Delving into the effects of different election laws and the effect they have on voting)

The Black Tapes and Alice isn't Dead are both horror themed story type podcasts.

Lore is one I'm going to be looking into soon, it's like how horror-based things came from little sparks of truth.

Death, Sex, and Money is an interesting one, it pretty much runs like it sounds, interviewing people with one of the three main topics and how they deal with some aspect of their life that falls under that topic.

Serial delves into a screwed up case of justice, where evidence points more towards a frame job than guilt.

The Memory podcast is history stories.

yeah, dental would cost an extra 35 a month and only covers up to 750 worth of procedures, which won't even cover a root canal, so there's pretty much no point in having it. Shit is expensive here cause people's lives are only worth what they can afford to pay to keep it going apparently.

I wouldn't say nobody wants it changed.

Personally I'd love to see it changed, complete access to medical care=healthy people=more productive workers. Same with our school system. I've seen what varying budgets from school to school can do to effect the atmosphere of learning for the students and teachers and it's not a case of more money=better schools. Per student my high school had the biggest per student cost and the lowest standards in education but well funded sports. Middle school had no sports teams but high academic standards and a fairly low per student budget, it also had a full gym with exercise equipment and a large well kept gymnasium, which my high school did not have, ironically. I think my high school could have been top in academics in the state if they adjusted where their funding went and focused on academics over sports. There was also a tech school associated with my high school and surrounding high schools as well, I think their budget was poorly allocated, there were better programs to teach than what they had- The only ones I would keep would be the nursing class, autobody, woodwork, accounting, sewing, and car repair. There was no reason for them to have multiple English classes or typing classes beyond introductory typing. I would have replaced those with computer programming and cooking. (They also had a scrapbooking class which was beyond useless and something like a course on how to do interviews, resumes, and how to apply for various types of jobs would have been much better)
