It's still decent. The biggest consensus complaint are the FX and Steppenwolf. Rightfully, too. I'd have been good with it waiting to fix the CGI, but critics would froth at the mouth knowing there was yet another setback on a DC movie.
how much of the rush on the cgi was because of whedon rescripting and reshooting large parts of the story? could you tell where it was whedon-y and where it was snyder-y?
I'm not sure how much of a rush, but there was only one scene where the CGI looked good to me, and that was an underwater battle at Atlantis. The rest was terrible CGI, so I don't feel I can blame the reshoots on the CGI, just the general rushed production.

Ya know, people say they could definitely tell which was which, but other than some dialogue, I don't feel Whedon was that noticeable from Snyder. He said he was trying to keep it looking as much like Snyder's stuff as possible, so by that I think he did well. But you can tell some dialogue spots though, where it's quippier.

Luckily Aquaman seems to have had a tight lid on its production, I haven't heard jack shit beyond casting.
yeah. it is weird about all of the leaks and production possibilities going around for all the other movies. maybe james wan has more loyalty or something.
Or Aquaman was just in a phase where WB stopped micromanaging, maybe. Whatever James Wan is doing, keep it up. I look forward to the movie, Momoa was fucking great.

I think Wonder Woman beats out Logan for me, too. Gal Gadot's hotness and that annoying little shrieking girl is pretty much did it.

If the rumors are true, I hope Jake Gyllenhaal is not Affleck's replacement. I don't want Batman to shrink 5 inches and suddenly have dopey-face.

Been good year for comic films. Thor tops it for me w/ Guardians 2 a close second.

She didn't speak Spanish. She screamed Spanish in record loudness. Ignoring that, I couldn't get into her character regardless. Pretty solid movie, though. I was also misled by the comparison to The Last of Us. Not much to compare other than the two main characters happen to be a full grown male and an underage female.

Is his mustache for another movie? That sounds so weird to do that. Why wouldn't he just shave it?
Yep, under contract with Paramount, he's in Mission Impossible 6 and he had to keep the mustache, so it made the reshoots awkward. It seemed stupid to me too, like it's easier to put a fake mustache on him for M:I6 than CGI-remove it. So I blame Paramount for that one.
I wouldn't go that far. Why is it Paramount's fault WB needed re-shoots at the same time? They're rival studios in the dog-eat-dog, if I'm Paramount, fuck em, push your re-shoots back or give me some nice coin. Unless fuck em is what Paramount chose outright, this is on WB.
Reshoots happen all the time, so it shouldn't be surprise to other studios. What's surprising is the demand for him to keep the stache. They basically did say Fuck'em, from what I read, they wouldn't budge at all. I've never heard of mustaches being contractually bound until this. Hell, it would've been cheaper if WB offered to pay for the fake mustache for M:I6.

This mustache in M:I6 better be fuck'n gold.
Appearance clauses are quite common. Think about the actor who decides to shave his head and put on 30 pounds. There has to be consequences for it.

I guess latter? I didn't feel "bro" with it, he has potential to take on a King Conan vibe. I mentioned last night he has not taken his rightful throne yet, so he's not JLU level yet. This is basically his introduction that gets him out of wandering and starts stepping up to his potential.

Maybe he will shift in the solo flick when he is betrayed, left for dead, and has to chop his hand off. Do you want hook or water hand?

I'd prefer hook. I'm pretty sure he'll be doing some "stepping up" in his solo flick, as far as regal-ness goes. Comes withe territory of the throne.

Do you think it will have the same build up as the first though? With it not being in a house. Not sure about it if they just pull up beside a person on the road. Hmmmm....
I really liked the first one. Hope this is at least on that level.
