If have not seen the movie, but I like Wonder Woman as a character. I also thought she was awesome in BvS. Before the movie was even released it was positioned wisely as a girl power anthem and no major media outlet was going to be honest. If it was good, it was going to be great.

maybe so. but none of us on hmf are media outlets.

I don't think it's worthy of the Best Picture talk that keeps getting brought up, just because it's the first good and successful woman-lead comic book movie. It is getting that kind of talk.

I also sorta agree with Foo. There was no way critics were going to trash the movie in this political climate right now.

the pronouns beyond he and she are pretty weird. and i don't think it should be forced onto you, by law, to refer to someone by their preferred correct pronoun or face some kind of punishment.
