Just found out a while ago that one of my actual friends from high school (as in someone I still consider a friend and not just an acquaintance) lost her 3 year old niece in a car accident. The world kinda sucks right now.

Just got an update on this. Half of my friend's family is saying the little girl is only alive because of a ventilator, the other half is saying she's trying to move and grab at the ventilator. My friend doesn't know how to feel or what's actually going on.


I hate to say it, but I have a feeling my friend's brother and his wife didn't have the 3 year old in a car seat properly. The other three people that were in the crash are all fine, and one of them is the girl's baby brother, who's only a month or two old...

That’s awful. Also awful if it’s their fault for not strapping her in properly which would be much worse.

It's just speculation right now. I'm hoping that's not the case, but considering everyone else just got bumps and bruises, short of the car seat being defective, improperly restrained would be the next logical step. Regardless of the cause though, it sucks. If she survives she's more than likely going to have a lifetime of pain and problems from this.

i hope that she pulls through, pain and problems or not. it sucks to think that it could have been so easily prevented.

It's been awhile since i've posted. Anyway, tomorrow is the big court date again over this land dispute. All this shit should hopefully come to an end tomorrow. We have affidavits, Wills, Deeds, Surveyor records and everything that shows that we're the owners of this property, while all he has is an out of date aerial map. I'll let everybody know how it goes after I get back home tomorrow afternoon.
