I hear violent crime is down across the country and that's great but let me tell you that is of little comfort for alot of Americans such as myself. Baltimore has 86 murders this year and 25 so far in April and when it starts getting warmer these atrocious numbers will skyrocket. Right now there is a gang of teens running around the city with hatchets robbing and assaulting people. There is zero fear of authority or repercussions right now. I don't know what else to say but we need help someone needs to step in and help.

Good men need to take the streets back without fear of being made the villain. Start painting some walls with their brains and it will stop.

That will only land good people in prison Baltimore is set up to protect criminals not the innocent. Johns Hopkins one of the most respected medical facilities on Earth wanted to hire their own police force on their dime and it was shot down because the city council thought it would be bad for minorities to have more cops. Baltimore is 82% African American who's the minority. This is what happens when the hunger for power overrides common sense. My city is dying and I don't see it getting better I pray for the day I can leave this place and never look back.

the majority of people are not born criminals. they become criminals. work on changing what causes them to become criminals. blaming them and punishing them after they already are is not a real solution, if you want a real solution.

Encouraging blacks to raise their children better is a great thing. Time to grow up and be big boys, be honest with ourselves, and have an honest viewpoint without sensitivity filters. 70% of black men leave the household and their young children grow up without a father figure. Black culture needs to change. I thought you called yourselves progressives?

- get asked to leave a restaurant because I am not buying anything and they need the table for paying customers, it is because I am black
- get shot after running from the cops and then aggressively reaching for something or pointing something at them, it is because I am black
- when I get asked to pay attention in school and show my classmates and teachers some respect, it is because I am black
- when I am denied a job because there are better candidates, it is because I am black
- when I act like a moron in public and people react negatively, it is because I am black

Racists are not slaughtering people in black communities they are slaughtering themselves so while we tip toe around racial sensitivity people die and communities are left in ruin. How would anyone want to live in a place where you can't even leave your house during the day because it's too dangerous and your children have no shot at getting a decent education. Citizens are basically prisoners.
