Sneaky Bull Shit
It's not just Quaker. Frito Lay does this, etc...

Everyone's doing it. I don't want to live on this planet anymore. #thanosisright

If people weren't retarded this wouldn't be much of an issue.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Everyone's doing it. I don't want to live on this planet anymore. #thanosisright

It's the industry's way of saying "we're not raising prices...honest!"Jason wrote:If people weren't retarded this wouldn't be much of an issue.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Everyone's doing it. I don't want to live on this planet anymore. #thanosisright

I've heard Gillette switched from 5-pack razors to 4-pack razors. But it's the same price, and in the exact same packaging, with a 5-slot holder for razors and only 4 inside.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:It's the industry's way of saying "we're not raising prices...honest!"Jason wrote:If people weren't retarded this wouldn't be much of an issue.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Everyone's doing it. Pretty ballsy of Quaker Oats, tbh. Not only do they reduce the portion size by 35% without telling anyone, they throw in an enticing "35% less sugar!" as if they did anything different than putting way less food in the box.

It’s a valid way to keep prices in control. It’s clearly labeled.

Re: Sneaky Bull Shit
What would you suggest in this case? It’s literally labeled on the front and you guys have absurd portions already. Anything to cut down the ridiculousness seems fine to me.Jason wrote:Of course you're pro Sneaky-Bullshit. :p
Re: Sneaky Bull Shit
How about, quit being sneaky cunts? They sneakily removed 35% of the food in the box without notice and charge the same price, then had the audacity to go a whole step further and say it has 35% less sugar.showa58taro wrote:What would you suggest in this case? My main suggestion is people need to stop being retarded and actually look at the shit they buy. Write Quaker Oats and tell them to quit being sneaky cunts or they will see a spike in sales. Seems fair to me. After all, they are blatantly screwing over the people that make up the very reason they are even in business.
Re: Sneaky Bull Shit
This reminds me of when I have to hear about how a Twinkie used to taste from my mom. Did those things ever really taste good?
I get it though with all that. It's just what they do. I pay anywhere from 6.99-9.99 for a fucking loaf of bread  so stuff like that doesn't get me as heated.

So you would only accept an ad campaign about the smaller portions, or some massive warning label?Jason wrote:How about, quit being sneaky cunts? If they are trying to disguise a greedy business move from the people keeping them in business, it's probably not a good thing to do.showa58taro wrote:So you would only accept an ad campaign about the smaller portions, or some massive warning label?Jason wrote:How about, quit being sneaky cunts?
