I was trying to work out the story and if it was just hyperbole like the “missing kids” thing that was innocuous and underwhelming. But it increasingly seems the new thing about taking kids from parents is true. What a shitty policy. Just evil for evils sake.

Me personally? I mean he really yes but I’m getting kids ready for school. So not fully handing. Why what’s up?
Listen to the first verse of the song Basket Case by Green Day and you'll understand.

It's like one of two songs of theirs that don't annoy me to piss.

It's almost like people should not involve children in the committing of crimes or something.

No. Just no. If you can’t see ripping children from their parents as evil then you have already lost any ground to stand on.

Dad robs a bank with child in tow. You have a problem with them taking the child to a safe place while dad's crimes are dealt with?

Evil cops, they better have left the drugs alone and put the kids back outside on the porch. Poor mother just needed a heroin break.

Robbing a bank is apparently equivalent with crossing the border without paper. A crime's a crime. If someone jaywalks, might as well hang them. Love that conservative simplicity.
