I flat out hosed a black widow in my backyard just now. It created a web about a foot above the ground that stretched on a line across the walkway blocking the entrance. I don't want the cats to walk through it, especially with the black widow resting dead center on the line, and I only gots socks on and don't want to step outside, so I throw some cat food at the web to get the spider away from the walkway for the time being, and that bitch hauled ass to one of the pieces of cat food, tangled it up in new threading and dragged it into her hiding spot. Lol. I wish I could see the look on her face when she realizes it's cat food...

I actually watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the first time in ages the other day after a shitty day, didn't realize how much I missed/needed the Donnie/Mikey connection.

Movie. Although the cartoon is my favorite cartoon of all time. But the Donnie/Mikey connection was really in the movies, especially the first. *Leo and Ralph getting into it* "Fight... fight... Kitchen... kitchen... Pork Rind... pork rind!" totally in sync brothers. Leave those two fuckers to battle it out and we'll go have some fun and be cool. AND they were a great tag team in battle "Wheel of Fortune, dude!".

Fucking Mamma Mia, man. Was meant to be pure fucking fluff and silliness. Haven’t cried so much in like a year.

Pretty much. Thought it’d be a lame comedy with some Swedish music. Trailer disguised things well as I was not emotionally prepared for it all.

Bring it in, my man. *hugs* Never watched, but I gather it's about family, and love of the mother and all that.

Indeed. First one was all cute mother daughter stuff. This one is 1 year after mother has died. So that theme runs pretty firmly through the film culminating in a final scene that just floored me.

You know I love you, my friend. With time it does get better, but reminders and the pain will always be there. At least you got reasonable movies to turn to mush, I watch the comedy Old School and I get choked up of missing my Dad's laugh and how it made him laugh his balls off, so infectious I laughed 10x harder. *le sigh* It's usually the little things that get me. But I know you'll be alright too.

It’s those subtle little things that can get you. I suppose on a silly level it’s nuce to know I still feel so strongly and that some things won’t fade. As you say, will be alright. But for one day, today was one of those where I just miss her and bet she’d have loved watching the film and laughing along to it with me. There will be better days b

Not sure I shared my court story.

So I am driving home one night, two days after hitting a deer. Some damage to front end, waiting on parts, etc. Front tag was knocked off, but I had it with me. Cop pulls me over for no front tag. I tell him what happened and that I am waiting on the body shop to call me back, etc. So he takes my license and registration back to his car and I sit there for 20 minutes, wondering what is taking so long. Next thing I hear is scratching and scraping at the rear of the truck. Cop comes walking up to my window with the license plate in his hand and says, "You wanna tell me where you got this sticker?". I am totally confused.

So, Crave Eatery has about 8 vehicles registered under it if you include trailers and such, so with other things, keeping up with the DMV is a bit of a chore. My mom handles the vehicles registrations, and to make a long story short, got two vehicles mixed up and put the sticker and registration on the wrong truck. After I take a second look at the registration, I realize it is for another truck. Both black SUVs, same registered owners, expire around the same time. Honest mistake and I try to explain.

The cop was extremely aggressive. Decides he is going to write five tickets, many of which are kinda the same thing as they all relate to the same issue except for the front license plate (which he wrote up without ever looking at the front to see the damage). Failure to display registration, failure to display registration sticker, expired registration, intent to defraud registration, etc. I asked him about the redundancy, especially given he can see the registration and sticker were from the same household and there was no issues with my license or vehicle that would prevent is from registering it. He said. "That is in case you want to plea bargain.", which I thought was kinda weird. Because of the "Intend to defraud" ticket, I had to go to court.

After giving me the ticket, the cop told me I could not drive the vehicle. I was pulled over less than a quarter mile from our restaurant and right across the street from the fire house where I was doing a charity event the next night. I asked him if I could drive to either of those places and then call for a ride. Being they were in either direction, I told the officer he could follow me to them or I could follow him. He refused, stating it was illegal to drive the truck without a current registration. (My father came and followed me to the restaurant to leave it overnight)

The next morning, we went to the DMV and got two new stickers to rectify the mix up.

So then, 8 weeks later my court date rolls around. Get called to the front to speak with the State's attorney, and I tell him what happened and how we resolved it the next day. He says they will drop all the charges except for the front license plate which is a $60 fine. I tell him I am happy to have my case heard, and he says, "Well, if you plead guilty to the license plate we will get you out of here first, if not, and your case is heard, you will be here for awhile.".(there were at least 40 other people in the court room and you guys know what my last name is, so going alphabetically would be awhile.)

So yeah, I pleaded guilty and paid a $60 fine to avoid a bunch of people being paid to be there wasting my day. Kinda shitty.

Absolutely. Lord of the Rings will always be a huge thing for me, whatever movies etc they do, for it was so special and important to my Dad and Uncle who passed. Keep the fire alive.

Hey Reign,

I took a bit of a trip and visited my first Half Price Books and I walked out pretty happy with this sucker!
