well, you can play asian (man or woman) if you're a white actress. who's to say what the casting process is like.

How do we determine who is asian and who is white?

is scarlett johansson asian or white? emma stone? tilda swinton?

Asian and Caucasian don't have clear lines. You are talking about vast regions here with long histories. Look at groups of Russians as perfect examples, many multi-generational russian people having both stereotypical European and Asian features.

and i pointed out three cases that yes they can still play make believe. and probably always will be able to. bullying someone out of a role is not a good look, whether that someone shares real life traits with the character or not.
