Sure. I will pay you $15 an hour to work on marketing for Crave. You ready to start tonight?zombie wrote:wanna find me a purpose? want to give me the means or outlet to be productive?Foo wrote:You guys need to find productivity in your lives. Would depress anyone to not have purpose.
Also, keep in mind, it is tough to go very far if you need to ask others for your purpose. I would focus on something that can help you make a living. I interview a surprising number of people who can't tell you what they have accomplished over the past 20 years. We all have 24 hours in a day, what you do with them makes all the difference in the world. A homeless person, a billionaire, a president, a teacher, an artist, and a welder all have the same number of hours.
Trades like plumbing and electrical are always in demand. If you accept that shit always runs downhill, you have plumbing half mastered.

all have the same number of hours. all don't have the means, the know how, the ability. etc. i'll keep looking for a job. but also keep in mind, a job is not necessarily a satisfying purpose. nor does it necessarily help to ease depression. but it is a nice thought.Foo wrote:Sure. if you really need help with marketing though, i can volunteer some time. just pm me the details if you like. i'll see what i can do.
Re: August 22nd, 2018
The internet has democratized learning. I would never suggest a "job" to anyone other than as a temporary means of support. I advocate learning skills and creating value in yourself so that you can have a worthwhile career. Nobody wants to stand at Walmart for 8 hours a day. Smart folk make that a part of their journey, not a destination.zombie wrote:all have the same number of hours. all don't have the means, the know how, the ability. etc. i'll keep looking for a job. but also keep in mind, a job is not necessarily a satisfying purpose. nor does it necessarily help to ease depression. but it is a nice thought.Foo wrote:Sure. You can flip on youtube and learn anything. A master chef will show you every secret to their finest dish and an electrician will show you how to install a ceiling fan. Nobody was born with those skills, they took the time to learn them. I literally went to businesses I respect and asked them to show me. Both Arbys and Chick Fil A took the time to do just that. Local folks did the same. On Monday I am teaching an online class to 300 people about food truck catering. You have to enter the knowledge circle.

I would only hire for pay, sir. It would be open office spreadsheets.zombie wrote:if you really need help with marketing though, i can volunteer some time. just pm me the details if you like. i'll see what i can do.
Re: August 22nd, 2018
that's why i said volunteer instead of hire. i'm not familiar with that program, but i can try to pick it up. still have to know what you are looking for specifically. i don't even know if i can do whatever marketing task you want, in the time that you would need it to be done. so no need to talk about hiring, or anything like that, til you know whether i would work out for your needs.Foo wrote:I would only hire for pay, sir. Would be a combination of gathering the information, building the database, and then disseminating the marketing to the database. For example, we start with a list of various businesses, charities, and public services/venues. their data is input in and categorized to be sortable and usable.zombie wrote:that's why i said volunteer instead of hire. i'm not familiar with that program, but i can try to pick it up. still have to know what you are looking for specifically. i don't even know if i can do whatever marketing task you want, in the time that you would need it to be done. so no need to talk about hiring, or anything like that, til you know whether i would work out for your needs.Foo wrote:I would only hire for pay, sir. Now lets say we introduce a fundraising idea with the food cart. We would want to send an email or postcard to all the schools, churches, and charities who might be interested.
Or, let's say we launch a new vending menu or platform. That might be of interest to breweries and wineries, so they get sent the marketing materials.
Re: August 22nd, 2018
would i be stepping on someone else's toes, that you already have doing this? would i have to coordinate with another person, or just to find the info on any applicable business, charity, venue etc in your area without concern of someone already getting the info for whatever location?Foo wrote:Would be a combination of gathering the information, building the database, and then disseminating the marketing to the database. also, just email would work? would this require phoning or anything?

Yes you would be stepping on other people's toes. Just because you asked that we are also going to stand on their throat.zombie wrote:would i be stepping on someone else's toes, that you already have doing this? would i have to coordinate with another person, or just to find the info on any applicable business, charity, venue etc in your area without concern of someone already getting the info for whatever location?Foo wrote:Would be a combination of gathering the information, building the database, and then disseminating the marketing to the database. Might require some phone with me.
Re: August 22nd, 2018
walk me through how you want the sheet formatted? all this technical stuff would probably work better in pm.Foo wrote:

Re: August 22nd, 2018
A poem I wrote got accepted into a collection of poems earlier this year to be published in a book, I think I told you guys about it.
I just got word that the book will be out on November 20th <3
Kindle version is up for preorder, but the paperback won't be available until release day, so I'm waiting for that before I go into more detail. I want to see it in print and in my hands to confirm the poem is in it before I give more details on it.
(I may be a bit of a skeptic that believes my poem would be the first cut if space became an issue after formatting and such.)

Shame paperback prices have been skyrocketing. I don't like e-reader shit, dammit.
