Your argument was that evidence should be ignored. Sorry, that is a silly argument. You are literally saying that contraband found at a crime scene should be ignored by police. That has to rank up there with one of the most bizarre things I have heard.zombie wrote:i know. you mentioned it in our discussion, as a way to try to dismiss my argument. to try to say that i was using race politics or some shit.Foo wrote:I mentioned that long after Head introduced that discovering evidence was racist because the victim was black.

Ok, and have you considered my position is that she may actually be guilty of murder rather than the lesser charge of manslaughter? And that I am not saying marijuana clouds the issue, but rather it is simply evidence that may or may not shed more light onto what happened, given the victim cannot give his side?zombie wrote:i believe she was charged with manslaughter?Foo wrote:I have the greatest reason. and you are saying that the contraband should be taken into account, because he was a stranger to her that she knew nothing about before shooting him, so every fragment of his life needs to be brought into evidence in the trial and used in her defense.Foo wrote:Your argument was that evidence should be ignored. then what was that all about his character is suspect before? why did you wait to bring that up at all, until just now? it could have saved a lot of time arguing in circles. and would have given a better idea of your point of view.Foo wrote: Ok, and have you considered my position is that she may actually be guilty of murder rather than the lesser charge of manslaughter? why would she make a claim about being tired and shooting him mistakenly, if she knew he was using illegal drugs? wouldn't that be the better defense on her part? wouldn't she have a better chance of not facing time at all, if she used that as the defense?
Re: Asian small business owner is arrested...
How do you know with absolute certainty he was a stranger to her? Residents have disputed her accounts.zombie wrote:and you are saying that the contraband should be taken into account, because he was a stranger to her that she knew nothing about before shooting him, so every fragment of his life needs to be brought into evidence in the trial and used in her defense.Foo wrote:Your argument was that evidence should be ignored. I think you have such strong opinions on marijuana that you cannot look at these situations objectively. No matter what you think of it, it is not legal everywhere. So when police see it at a crime scene, they are not going to act like it is a ham sandwich.

1. Is her confusion story plausible? Might her story seem more likely if you learned the many residents of the building have went to the wrong apartment because it all looks the same?
2. What is the history of suspect and victim interactions?
I am not trying to prosecute a case before having all the information. And yes, using illegal drugs is a character flaw. Doesn't mean he deserved to be murdered.

i don't know. i keep asking for more info, if you have it. but that's what her defense is.Foo wrote:How do you know with absolute certainty he was a stranger to her? Residents have disputed her accounts.

you don't know how i feel about marijuana. nor is that relevant. if he was found out to be raping children, that still should not be used in her defense, as it is.

You don't shoot people because they're not "respecting" you. What kind of Fascist nonsense is that lmaoTiggnutz wrote:They don't have to they are given proper respect. It's a real shock to the system when you first interact with one. Just regular people doing a job. The sad thing is the Czechs tend to really disrespect them. I have seen people yelling at cops on the street and have been told by students that it's a regular occurrence for people to talk shit to them when they get pulled over. These people don't have a clue how good they have it sometimes. Especially the young people here who didn't live through or can't remember what it was like under Soviet rule, they have no perspective.
Also, people here are more openly disrespectful tp cops than in the US. In the US, if you get pulled over you have to act as if someone is pointing a gun at your head, speak softly, move slowly, and they still treat you like shit every step of the process. It's bullshit. Thugs with badges, school bullies grown up.

And saying cops are assholes is not the same thing as saying "every individual cop is an asshole". When you're part of an institution, you fall under that institution's umbrella. And you get to generalize. Sorry, that's the way it is.

Well, the residents are saying some of her story is inconsistent with the way the building operates and there may have been more to the issue than just a mistake. Like she may have been asking to gain entry to the guy's home and there may have been some recent noise complaints involving that unit.zombie wrote:i gave her the benefit of the doubt, that she was being truthful in the mistaken home and shooting a suspected intruder defense. i have been through this discussion, if you read my posts.Foo wrote: I am looking at all the angles. I have tried to open the wrong vehicle and the wrong hotel room door before, so I think it is possible, but there also could be more to it. Obviously a big difference in an accident and an execution and you have to prosecute correctly.

This would be acceptable for certain drugs but it's playing stupid to think it's the same for all drugs heroin, coke and others I'm sure you could name destroy masses and not by regulaton but by their natureHeadhunter wrote:Do you want to reduce violence or moralize for the sake of moralizing?Foo wrote:Just the other day I was thinking that the hood rats in Baltimore need more unfettered access to weed, meth, herion, and coke.Headhunter wrote:Sensible drug policy.Tiggnutz wrote:Whole streets of Baltimore work as one big drug dispenser how do you police that. Do they not destroy masses now? What's the difference outside of more people being killed and more money wasted busting criminal enterprises that don't need to exist in the status quo?Tiggnutz wrote:This would be acceptable for certain drugs but it's playing stupid to think it's the same for all drugs heroin, coke and others I'm sure you could name destroy masses and not by regulaton but by their natureHeadhunter wrote:Do you want to reduce violence or moralize for the sake of moralizing?Foo wrote:Just the other day I was thinking that the hood rats in Baltimore need more unfettered access to weed, meth, herion, and coke.Headhunter wrote:Sensible drug policy.Tiggnutz wrote:Whole streets of Baltimore work as one big drug dispenser how do you police that.
