I still stand by my rant though, lmao
Re: Kavanaugh Debacle
it would imply that i am not against it. i don't speak for even one other liberal than myself. and it only implies that when you twist what i've said to make me look like i'm defending pedophilia.Foo wrote:
Zombie said James Gunn's firing is political. He was fired for statements endorsing pedofilia. This would imply only one side was against it.

Do you not understand why a company like Disney cannot tolerate someone stating they like to molest children, jokingly or not?zombie wrote:it would imply that i am not against it. i don't speak for even one other liberal than myself. and it only implies that when you twist what i've said to make me look like i'm defending pedophilia.Foo wrote:

Let's say the person who plays Big Bird goes on Twitter and starts talking about how his favorite thing in life is popping virgin cherries? How do you think that goes over with Sesame street producers, even if said in the past?
Re: Kavanaugh Debacle
yeah, if this is something gunn had done since being hired by disney, i would understand their actions. i'm not debating this with you any further though.Foo wrote:Do you not understand why a company like Disney cannot tolerate someone stating they like to molest children, jokingly or not?zombie wrote:it would imply that i am not against it. i don't speak for even one other liberal than myself. and it only implies that when you twist what i've said to make me look like i'm defending pedophilia.Foo wrote:

Are you saying you cannot discover more information about a person and choose to not work with them anymore? Entitlement runs that deep?zombie wrote:yeah, if this is something gunn had done since being hired by disney, i would understand their actions. i'm not debating this with you any further though.Foo wrote:Do you not understand why a company like Disney cannot tolerate someone stating they like to molest children, jokingly or not?zombie wrote:it would imply that i am not against it. i don't speak for even one other liberal than myself. and it only implies that when you twist what i've said to make me look like i'm defending pedophilia.Foo wrote:

Let's say that it is discovered Kavanaugh did everything Blasey Ford accused him of, can he keep his judgeship on the second highest court in the US, since it happened before he was confirmed?

Re: Kavanaugh Debacle
Of course as someone pointed out when a similar comment was made on Twitter, we aren’t confirming Ford for a lifetime position. He on the other hand appears to be a judge who is not measured or calm, is not impartial and non-partisan, and is not honest. That’s not a great set of characteristics for a judge.Reign in Blood wrote:Yeah, he did. Did Ford?
Re: Kavanaugh Debacle
You do realize he has been a judge on the second highest federal court for many years, and has an exceptional record, often cited by the Supreme Court itself? He is universally respected, with only those differing with him based upon political hot topics like gun control, abortion, etc.showa58taro wrote:Of course as someone pointed out when a similar comment was made on Twitter, we aren’t confirming Ford for a lifetime position. No reason to destroy the man because he was nominated for his good work and doesn't think how you think.

Which part? Kav has been on the second highest federal court. Foo was right about that.showa58taro wrote:I mean none of that is true but other than that, sure.Foo wrote:You do realize he has been a judge on the second highest federal court for many years, and has an exceptional record, often cited by the Supreme Court itself? My opinion.....this guy could be the one that helps turn over Roe vs Wade. This is why libs, like myself, are shitting their pants. They cater to the evangelicals. Trump is totally doing the same. Rape will not be considered grounds for abortion. They think it's still Gods work.

None was the wrong word. He doesn’t have an exceptional record or bring universally respected or frequently cited.Jmac Attack wrote:Which part? Kav has been on the second highest federal court. Most conservatives believe in a trial before the execution. That appears to be the difference.Jmac Attack wrote:Oh man.....I remember when the conservatives had the monopoly on being "moral". Seems they don't give a shit like the rest of us!
