Hell, even in actual instances of rape, the issue is not made better by firearms. That's not how you solve problems.

I am pretty sure a bullet to the face stops most rape attempts. I am worried more about actual sexual assault than people getting their feelings hurt, a butt slap, etc. Avoiding the casting couch is also quite easy, just refuse to participate. If someone forces you, shoot them.

I stick up for the values in religion. Nothing in the modern teachings of Catholicism, Judaism, or Buddhism are incompatible with being a good person and good society. I cannot say the same for Islam, unfortunately. The teachings of something like Catholicism are sound, even though there may be bad players.
