I dunno, if I'm watching something I've seen I'd want a lot of familiarity. Only seen Street Trash once.zombie wrote:so, you want a new watch? i've heard that the greasy strangler is good sleazy horror. if you can find it.Jason wrote:Seen ittttt!!!zombie wrote:street trash.Jason wrote:What horror shall I watch? Never thought about it until this viewing, but Max Von Sydow's portrayal of Father Merrin in The Exorcist is definitely one of the greatest performances I've ever seen. WOW.

Also probably the most overlooked best makeup job ever.Jason wrote:Never thought about it until this viewing, but Max Von Sydow's portrayal of Father Merrin in The Exorcist is definitely one of the greatest performances I've ever seen. WOW.

Seriously. And combined with his performance, you'd have to convince me he's not actually an old man. The mannerisms, the hand spasms, the way he walks around, the way he moves his lips. I can't pick the best performance ever to me, but if I compiled a short list, this one would make it.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Also probably the most overlooked best makeup job ever.Jason wrote:Never thought about it until this viewing, but Max Von Sydow's portrayal of Father Merrin in The Exorcist is definitely one of the greatest performances I've ever seen. I keep forgetting that. Yes, that performance is so underrated.
Re: What are you watching?
It never even occurred to me that he wasn't really that old until it finally hit me while watching Flash Gordon just how much younger he looked 7 years after The Exorcist.

You needed to think about whether Max von Sydow is great. Get the fuck outta here. Swedish legend.
Re: What are you watching?
Right up there with Peter Forsberg.
