I actually may have been able to do that as a youngster. They've all got a pattern.
I thought for sure I was losing my timing a reflexes a few years back. I actually struggled with the game for the first time since I was like 6. Come to find out the flat screen was fucking it all up. Today I played it for the first time back on a regular box tv and aced it.

Superb game. Loved the strategy to many of the opponents, which worked well with the timing.
