Seriously though, my parents will claim that sending me to one of those "scared straight" prison visits did the job, but I was already out of that phase before then. All I learned there was I can go to prison for stealing pop-tarts, and they were justified to rape me.

Yeah, that was a bit much for a 14 year old to take in. I was really out of place there. Lots of teenage gangbangers doing real shit: violence, drugs, vandalism, burglary in homes, all that fun stuff. And there's me, who shoplifts shit like poptarts and snickers bars, and the occasional toy or pen (remember Parker pens?) from grocery stores.
