That's up there with Blakkklansman as the most satisfying ending I've seen in a while. Brad Pitt's the fucking man.

OUATIH reigns as my #1 of 2019 still. I think I have 63 or 64 movies logged for 2019 too.Monster wrote:That's up there with Blakkklansman as the most satisfying ending I've seen in a while. Brad Pitt's the fucking man.

I'm pretty sure it'll make my top ten, if only for the last 20 minutes or so.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:OUATIH reigns as my #1 of 2019 still. Re: What are you watching?
Figured I would give The Grudge a re-watch in preparation for the reboot this weekend. I don't think I've seen the film since it first came out, plus my copy is the Unrated cut, so it's kind of a new watch again.

Is this at redbox or something? I've been waiting like hell to watch this. It's one of those I need to put on my 2019 watchlist before I feel it's complete.Tiggnutz wrote:The Lighthouse
Parasite and Ford V Ferrari are the other two still waiting to be seen.

Trying out Dracula.
Why would the nun ask if Mina's man dorked Dracula?? IF they get rid of the brides and make this a sausage fest I'm out.

That show is great. So over the top insane you just end up laughing at one crazy thing after another.Jmac Attack wrote:Netflix series You. I am in the middle of episode 4, season one. Pretty good so far. Main dude is charming and creepy af.
Not removing until John Elway is fired.
Re: What are you watching?
I can't peg down the accent the actor is using for Dracula. It's like he is biting on the side of his tongue as he speaks and rolling his r's.

Pretty darn good, Renee is shockingly great (though I still think Lupita's Us performance is better), and additionally impressed she belted the songs out herself, but I'm bummed it covered a small fraction of her life (toward the end) with only some dashes of flashbacks to her getting messed up in the first place. I also find it questionable that casting actually race swapped the piano player, a real person. Yeah, I typically don't like race swapping, but I never expected to find it on a real person these days (didn't they learn anything from the blasting Ridley Scott's Exodus took? That's all they bitched about with that one, otherwise an excellent film).

I like that they are paying tribute, even slightly to a Lagosi/Lee style in a scene.

Drac is naked for 15 minutes...showed nothing. Did he have an otter glued to the front.
Ugh. This friggen nun.
