for the first ten minutes or so, it felt like bad wes anderson. that was touch and go. but everything after that was great.

Agreed. It was somehow equally serious and funny. In possibly the greatest year of cinema ever Jojo Rabbit was my favorite of 2019. That's is with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, 1917,Joker and Parasite all getting my grade of A+

i haven't seen parasite or knives out or 1917 yet. i expect those to be high on my list. but i think jojo rabbit takes it right now, at least as far as nonhorror goes.
