People who hate government wanted to throw a Molotov cocktail at it.Tiggnutz wrote:Then how is trump president how did he win in 2016Headhunter wrote:How was Trump a reprieve from anarchy . . .Tiggnutz wrote:Trump didn't get elected president because of hardcore fans that go to rallys it was moderates who wanted a change from anarchy and identity politics. Well the left have doubled down on that. It's going to be a photo finish because of Trump being a clownish dickhead and people who are afraid of far left realities. Coin flip
The far left doesn’t exist in national politics in any meaningful way. It’s the center-right vs. the lunatic right.

I disagree strongly it was people who didnt want government going left as they perceived the Obama years taking them.Headhunter wrote:People who hate government wanted to throw a Molotov cocktail at it.Tiggnutz wrote:Then how is trump president how did he win in 2016Headhunter wrote:How was Trump a reprieve from anarchy . . .Tiggnutz wrote:Trump didn't get elected president because of hardcore fans that go to rallys it was moderates who wanted a change from anarchy and identity politics. Their perception couldn’t have been more wrong. Obama’s administration was center-right and outside of the racists, the people who ended up hating him the most were young progressives.Tiggnutz wrote:I disagree strongly it was people who didnt want government going left as they perceived the Obama years taking them.Headhunter wrote:People who hate government wanted to throw a Molotov cocktail at it.Tiggnutz wrote:Then how is trump president how did he win in 2016Headhunter wrote:How was Trump a reprieve from anarchy . . .Tiggnutz wrote:Trump didn't get elected president because of hardcore fans that go to rallys it was moderates who wanted a change from anarchy and identity politics. Government as a whole has done nothing but move right since Reagan.

The Nixon administration was more left than any president’s administration in the past 40 years. Unions are dead. The wealth gap grows every year. The left in America has no political power, both parties are corporate whores.

If the races were reversed, this would be worldwide news. Young, strong white man beating on older, frail black man.Jason wrote:Beating up an old white man at a clothing store for no reason other than to be racist, then claim he used the n-word to justifies the behavior. Fairly interesting exercise:
Go to google, type in any 3-digit number followed by "New cases"

Re: Random Political Comments
what is your goal with this? like what standpoint do you want people to reach, that you apparently feel like that they aren't reaching in showing them that black americans can be fucking criminal assholes too? i want to understand where you're trying to lead us into?Jason wrote:If the races were reversed, this would be worldwide news. Re: Random Political Comments
Nobody wants to talk about where the vast majority of violence occurs and who is responsible. Is it racist to point out that the majority of crime is committed by black men? It's fucking true, and instead of addressing the gaping fucking hole, we focus on the tiny little leak on the other side where a white cop put his knee on a black criminal. What the fuck is wrong with society?
Re: Random Political Comments
first, can we acknowledge that no one, at least no one on hmf, is separating cops by race. like bad cops are only coming from the number of them that are white, or that it's only bad when cops attack black americans?Jason wrote:Nobody wants to talk about where the vast majority of violence occurs and who is responsible. second, what conclusions are you drawing, from the statistical proof that more black americans are arrested and incarcerated? what is your understanding of how that came to be, historically and socially?
Re: Random Political Comments
None of you have mentioned David Dorn. BLM didn't mention David Dorn. Everyone is up in arms when a white cop kills a black guy. What about when a black cop kills a black guy, or a black cop killing a white guy, or a white cop killing a white guy, or a black guy killing a white cop?
White opinions don't matter, white people get shouted down for opposing views, but it's oddly silent when black people speak out against the liberal nonsense.

the video that affected me most was a white old man and a white cop. and then all of the other cops just following orders, despite some initially seeming to want to help him.

so, no. it's not just about blame whitey! again, do you want to have a conversation or just tell everyone else what they should be thinking?
Re: Random Political Comments
The conversation is about the big issues and giving equity to all areas that need improvement. Everyone is blowing their wad on police when the 99.9% are in agreement that there shouldn't be brutality. Pick your battles, give energy accordingly.
Re: Random Political Comments
can't solve a problem without dealing with the root of that problem. imprisoning more and more people can only go so far. address the problem, or it's only going to get worse. you don't want to address it. you just want to deal with the symptom. ie: arrest this bad guy. and then arrest that bad guy. the bigger issue needs to be addressed.Jason wrote:The conversation is about the big issues and giving equity to all areas that need improvement. Re: Random Political Comments
in the interest of conversation, mass incarceration started to ramp up, under richard nixon and his war on drugs and "law and order" presidency.
this followed the civil rights movement of the 50s and 60s. the trend continued with reagan, with bush, with clinton and so on.
black americans make up 34% of the prison population, which is the largest of any race.

Re: Random Political Comments
I addressed the bigger issue: Single motherhood, fatherless homes. Men (of any race) growing up without a father-figure make up the vast majority of criminal activity, and the race that happens to have the highest amount of criminal activity by far, also happens to be the race with the highest percentage of single motherhood. Democrats love it when black people are their victims. The numbers for black crime and black single motherhood skyrocketed when democrats made them dependent on the government. The democrats need to stop metaphorically chaining black people up and keeping them slaves for their victimization and political tactics, and black men need to stop having children and leaving before the child is born.zombie wrote:can't solve a problem without dealing with the root of that problem. imprisoning more and more people can only go so far. address the problem, or it's only going to get worse. you don't want to address it. you just want to deal with the symptom. ie: arrest this bad guy. and then arrest that bad guy. the bigger issue needs to be addressed.Jason wrote:The conversation is about the big issues and giving equity to all areas that need improvement. Massive improvement, 100% guaranteed.
Re: Random Political Comments
Instead we just whine about non-existent societal racism against black people because white guilt.
Re: Random Political Comments
so a branch of the government is victimizing and oppressing black people? is that accurate to sum it up that way?Jason wrote:I addressed the bigger issue: Single motherhood, fatherless homes.
