My husband called his grandpa Pips.
I called mine Papaw.
It's a very personal thing and whatever feels right is what you should go with, but to be honest, most kids come up with their own way of addressing you.
My mom wanted to be called Granny but my nieces had a hard time saying Granny so it became Nana pretty quick and she's grown to love it even though she hated it at first.
If your step-grandson is around a lot, she will most likely pick up on what he calls you and will use the same term because it's familiar. (This is how my uncle became Bobo instead of Larry and how my parents became Nana and Papaw to pretty much every kid in the family born after me. And I mean the whole family so they are actually their great and great-great nieces and nephews, same reason they call my Aunt Angie but I'm really their cousin. My family is weird.)
