What Are You Reading
Re: What Are You Reading
The first story in Night Shift is Jerusalem's Lot and I dug it and now on to Graveyard Shift.
Re: What Are You Reading

I've always preferred King's short stories to his novels. Have you read Lawnmower Man yet? How they went from that to the film is beyond me.Tiggnutz wrote:Nine stories read and I've enjoyed every one. I should of read Night Shift long ago.

I always go back and forth which Stephen King short story collection I prefer: Night Shift or Skeleton Crew.
Most of the time I probably go Skeleton Crew because of The Raft and The Mist.

Re: What Are You Reading
Finished Goldfinger today and I thought it was one of the better Bond books I've read so far
Re: What Are You Reading
The Ledge was outstanding it gave me even more heebie-jeebies than watching Cats Eye did. I have just started Lawnmower Man. I honestly had no idea all these movie famous stories were in this book.

Children of the Corn was a really good story my favorite so far.
Re: What Are You Reading
Finished Night Shift and its a solid A+ for me. Now its either Christine or Debbie Harry's autobiography. I'm leaning Debbie Harry

280 pages into Debbie Harry's autobiography and even though I'm barreling through its mostly been blah after starting well.
Re: What Are You Reading
Finished Face It: A Memoir by Debbie Harry and it was just okay really underwhelming for me. C+

I'll be starting If It Bleeds tomorrow, finally.
Re: What Are You Reading
220 pages into Christine,a third of the book and nothing has really happened. Good character building but something needs to happen.

I've loved Christine for its character building detail lol.

Re: What Are You Reading
But I do recall one of the better things John Carpenter did was improve the pacing (as well as not use a big pink shit-sucker trucker in the end, that was just a goofy visual).
