if it wasn't "very" pro-second amendment, i would have included that.
"Shall not be infringed" is basically the "very" option. It's kinda on there twice. I am both.
shall not be infringed is more than gun rights though, no?
It's a direct quote from the 2nd amendment. "The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed".
i know the quote. if it only relates to gun ownership, that's dumb.
Depends on your interpretation of the article. If you're reading the quote and not trying to expand its meaning in your head, a citizen's right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed is kinda straight forward.
okay. fair. i meant dumb to include separately on that political compass thing, and redundant to count for yourself when you include the other too.

Yeah. The whole list is a little flawed and inaccurate, but there isn't really an exact model regarding a political spectrum chart.

Individualist in general. Just think for yourself and do right by you and your loved ones.

that is rough. i hope they never have to actually face something like that. i hope that abortion doesn't become federally illegal. so at least maybe they have some kind of way through it.

Keep in mind that the far-left very much supports gun rights. It's liberals and so-called 'progressives' that don't.
Being 'woke' is not a sign of anything far-left, it's a sign of being liberal.
We need to make sure that we understand this. If you're a leftist, you are anti-capitalist, and hopefully voting for socialist parties. If you're a liberal, you're a supporter of capitalism (regulated, perhaps, but you still believe in capitalism), and likely vote straight Democratic and yell at far-leftists like myself, and related, if you're a liberal, you may idioically believe in the horseshoe theory.
Leftists and liberals are not the same, and do not have the same goals.
This is mostly directed at that picture Jason posted that seemed to imply the far-left was somehow 'woke,' and it just doesn't work that way.

"woke" is a term that the right uses to apply to anyone they don't like. it is not a term with a hard definition or parameters to meet or not meet. don't overthink it.

It's a misconception I see and hear all the time, and if I don't overthink, I miss out on the opportunity to correct perceived mistakes, which is one of the things I live for.

it's not a term that liberals apply to themselves either, the way the right uses it.

Being woke is not being liberal. Being liberal is anti-censorship, anti-war. Being woke is colorful haired weirdos who shame anyone who thinks there are only two genders and wants others' lives ruined for using pronouns that they deem improper.

"go woke go broke" has never meant don't be a bully asshole for your particular set of politics or you'll lose the dinero.
but at least your way to use it could be somewhat defensible, if you actually stick to the way you laid it out here.

i don't like the term, because it's thrown out to just see if the accuser can make it stick in the public consciousness. but often it's thrown at some work of media or public figure that could be seen as socially or culturally subversive to conservative values.
