I have strong doubts this is better than Raging Bull.
No fucking way is it better than Raging Bull, at anytime or any stretch.

You're god damn right it is!

IDK though, DeNiro has become a big douchebag late in life, so now I lean towards a Wolf. Or Berenger in Platoon.

Now I know what today's Best Picture winner I'm gonna put on. It's been quite a few years since I've last watched it too.

Platoon.

Out of the Supporting Acting noms that year, I still think Berenger should've won over Caine (Dafoe would've been acceptable)...but that's also because Hopper wasn't nominated for Blue Velvet, which would be my choice by a landslide.

Ones I'm looking forward next to choose from:

Schindler's List, The Hurt Locker, No Country For Old Men, Gladiator, Silence Of The Lambs, Forrest Gump, Dances With Wolves, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, The French Connection, LOTR: Return of the King (Though I'll watch the whole damn trilogy, as it should be watched), Rocky, Million Dollar Baby, Titanic, American Beauty, The Departed, Casablanca,

Ones I'm revisiting because I feel I have to:

Gone With The Wind, Crash, The English Patient, Out of Africa, Driving Miss Daisy, Oliver!, Kramer Vs. Kramer, Lawrence of Arabia, On the Waterfront, The Sting

Ones I've never actually seen but gonna try:

The Last Emperor, Rebecca, In the Heat Of The Night, Chariots of Fire, My Fair Lady, Ben-Hur

Fuck These Ones:

Shakespeare in Love, The Artist, The King's Speech, Slumdog Millionaire, Wings, Chicago, The Greatest Show On Earth, Around The World In 80 Days, How Green Was My Valley, The Best Years Of Our Lives, West Side Story, The Sound Of Music, and most recent ones because I'm trying do dive into the older ones. Think I'll go Pre-2010.

Chariots of Fire and Ben-Hur are both great movies imo. In the Heat of the Night is pretty good. Never even heard of Rebecca.

Rebecca's a Hitchcock film. Still didn't score a Director Oscar for it though.

it's okay. Really didn't get that 80s vibe like Stranger Things and Super 8 managed though.

I guess Super 8 was late 70s. Close enough.

Still excellent. Unfortunate reputation that it's Marty's only Oscar win (so far) when he should have won for better movies previously, but that doesn't mean he didn't earn it for 2006 either. Jack should've been nominated though. Ruined his streak of getting an Oscar for each decade since the 70's :P
