Do you think entertainment has suffered in the PC era?

when did the pc era start? horror has gotten better than in the 90s. tv (or streaming) has gotten better than it's ever been, possibly.

Tough to pinpoint, but I would say in the last decade with it really ramping up in the last couple years. How many public apologies have you seen in the last year?

TV and streaming kinda flip flopped with theaters in terms of being edgy.

okay. the 2010s suffered a little bit, compared to the 2000s as far as horror goes. there have been a lot of public apologies. i don't really pay attention to gossip and celebrity culture. i never have. (well, maybe for a little while in the 90s. )

yeah, tv is definitely more edgy than mainstream movies today, in general.

Given what we know about many real life serial killers, it does add some authenticity to make them mentally disturbed and gender confused.

Like when you know it is a character put there with a political agenda rather than to best service the story.

we didn't shift away from reality. unless transgender murderers are more common in reality, and that's not being reflected in the fiction? otherwise, i don't understand what you're trying to get at, in the instance.

what characters are put into current fiction that don't best serve the story? give me some examples?
