It's moderately hard to be successful at something when so many other factors and national actors make you want to fail.

It's not as though the scales aren't tipped.

Agree to disagree.
I'm surprised, i thought you'd enjoy someone saying that about the top 1% :P
I disagreed with the first part, not the second.

"Agree to disagree and agree" just looked too strange to write.

If it makes you feel any better, I don't think we'll ever actually achieve a socialist country here, no matter how much I bitch and moan.

A damn shame, but there you go.

The front runner of your socialist movement owns at least three luxury homes with a net worth estimated in the 7-figures. Estimated, because he refuses to disclose it. Dude never had a job in his life and is a millionaire. Odd.

Do you get that most socialists DO NOT LIKE Bernie Sanders, Jason?

Do you get that over seven different far-left candidates RAN AGAINST Bernie Sanders in 2016?

Do you get that Bernie Sanders gets some of the most hate from those on the far-left?

Or do you just not accept any of these claims? How many socialists (socialists, not Social Democrats or Democratic Socialists) have you spoken to about Bernie?

Lastly, Bernie has had jobs. It's amazing that being paid to do something (as Bernie has been) isn't a job to you.

1) Oh, I get it. I warned you nerds he was a phony during his entire campaign. You nerds should've listened to me before he took your monies and backed Hillary. Lmao.

2) Yes, the left are power hungry. This has nothing to do with anything.

3) Because the left is a walking contradiction. They are undergoing a paradigm shift where the true colors of the left are coming out.

4) I accept those claims. They are high-larious!

5) He was a carpenter for like three weeks before he decided work sucked and became a socialist. Color the world shocked.

1) No, you don't get it. Most socialists DID NOT SUPPORT BERNIE SANDERS DURING THE PRIMARY AT ANY TIME. MOST SOCIALISTS DID NOT VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON. Know why? Because there were over seven fucking other candidates (all better than the piece of shit Clinton) to vote for.

2) Socialists and communists forming parties with differing philosophies and running candidates proves the left are power hungry? Do you think the same thing for all of the right-leaning parties in this country? Even if you do, you're wrong, but I'm just wondering.

3) Again, you show you have no idea what you're talking about. Many socialists never supported Bernie Sanders. It's not like they switched half-way through. They criticized Bernie FROM THE BEGINNING. I've read many of the damn articles. Many socialists DID NOT SUPPORT Bernie, and that doesn't mean that there's any contradiction.

4) Thanks.

5) Being a carpenter and getting paid for it is - SHOCKER - a job.

Jig, I predict that over the years as you get older, you will critically mellow out, reevaluate your position and soften your hardline stance on far left social issues, bringing you to a "left-leaning moderate" as opposed to a "lie flat on your back with your finger pointing directly left" leftist.

If I mellow out, it will more likely be due to hopelessness than anything else, and I expect the same thing.

1) You are 100% incorrect. Most socialists supported Bernie Sanders. He became so popular in his phony run that even non-socialist leftists supported him.

2) I'd wager 90% of all candidates R/D/Independent are in it for nobody but themselves. 100% of all democrats are in it for themselves.

3) Oh, well if you read the articles... (Lol). Bitching about Bernie and writing articles after the backstabbing does not count. It also doesn't represent the whole of socialist supporters, who the overwhelming majority of, backed Bernie.

4) anytehm

5) And quitting three weeks in because "2 tuff of work bro" is an equally impressive move as his stance in socialism. *high five*

You will mellow out due to wisdom, not hopelessness. Your mind is trapped in a bubble, wisdom will come day by day and things will clear up in your head dramatically. Take it to the bank.

1) You are incorrect. Most socialists did not support Bernie Sanders. Some certainly did. Some (Jeff Mackler and the Socialist Action) were against him from the beginning. You're talking about something you know very little about.

2) I have zero interest in defending the Democratic Party. And you may wager that, but that's not evidence.

3) I read anti-Sanders articles from socialists BEFORE HE WON A SINGLE STATE IN THE PRIMARY. Again, you are talking about something you know little about.

I think I know a bit more about myself than a friend on a forum, Jason. I do appreciate the idea that I will come into myself as I grow older, but that doesn't strike me as overly likely (as far as your description of it).

2) Socialism is adorable in theory. Will never be successful. Ever.

3) For every one anti-Bernie article (pre or post candidacy) there 100 pro-Bernie articles. This is literally a mountain out of a mole hill argument.

mellow out doesn't necessarily mean change your views, as jason seems to be implying. most people are less rebellious, less "activist" in their mindset. that may not happen to you, but it's generally how things tend to go. and i think that a lot of it is from hopelessness of a sort. beaten down by the system, conformity. etc.
