Re: April 10th
Best buddy died 9 years ago today in Afghanistan.
Went to the market and bought some healthy shit. Spotted an old lady picking mushrooms and stuff at the produce. She was struggling, had back problems so I helped her pick and weigh them. We were talking and I noticed a bit of an accent and asked where she was from, she said Germany. She is 89 and met her husband, an American soldier, in 1946 right after the war ended. I thought it best not to ask how he is. She asked about me and family, if I had kids. Told her no kids, but family is here. She responded with "I miss family", and it dawned on me that more than likely everyone she's ever known and loved might be gone. Despite that, she was the most cheerful person I've met in years.
An all-time favorite chance encounter.

Re: April 10th
Alli says she's got money coming to me the following Friday, so that will help some.
Still, fucking blows. Everything costs so damn much, and I haven't had a raise in almost 2 years. One of my artist friends was stunned that I haven't had a single commission off of my Killustrator FB page. Not one. And I sunk money into advertising that shit.
At least one of my student loans will be done with in about 7 years. The other though...that things a fucking monster.

That said, I'm rather done arguing politics seriously on this forum. It's an utterly lost cause, and I especially have no interest in doing so on the day's random chat.

I have been as close as one can get to joining the Special Forces. If I decided yes and they sent me to Syria, you would applaud my death.Jigsaw wrote:Thanks for the shout-out, brah.Jason wrote:Jig supports Syrian murder of Americans.Jigsaw wrote:Gotta love the capitalist system.

To be honest, I'm amazed you haven't gotten any commissions off the FB page. What do you have to do, sell your soul to Satan?DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Alli says she's got money coming to me the following Friday, so that will help some.

Capitalism would be great if the top 1% weren't raping the shit out of it.

Soldiers are not ideal citizens, but there are plenty of reasons otherwise good people would join the military, so no, I do not applaud the death of soldiers.
It's the higher-ups behind this all that really piss me off.

I had one person enquire, but before quoting even came around, they were non-responsive. This was very early stages of the page too.

Jiggy has too much pride in his hardline stance of things. He will scream to the death about the greatnsss of socialism, but how many successful socialist regimes are there? Lol.

Re: April 10th
I am prepping work on yet another piece for myself that I will be posting progressions there, like normal. I know there was essentially a break from doing the airbrush stuff, but I gotta put some time in between drafts of my graphic novel script, yet I still need to feel productive. Might make a video out of this one, like I did that Freddy/Alice piece.
The Jason piece I'm doing on the side is on hold until someone gets me cast pictures so I can modify the silhouettes. That's actually for a fan film that I volunteered to make a poster for (stipulation: I keep the original art).

"Agree to disagree and agree" just looked too strange to write.
