Man....arm strength is overrated. Smarts and to improvise is key. Look at Wilson, LJ, or even Favre. Sure, they have big time arms, but that is not what's impressed everyone. I mean, Brandon fucking Weedon had one of the best arms I've ever seen. But he couldn't hit any reciever if his life depended on it. Peyton and Brady never had any arm strength. But, you fix that footwork, and long passes and accuracy can be achieved.

Yeah, Peyton would go 25/33 throwing DUCKS. There are a few occasions where not having the zip can hurt you but not nearly as much as a lack of accuracy, touch and anticipation will hurt you.

Jake has a lot of great intangibles. I think he's probably a long term backup. If he can do that for 10-15 years and win you games when needed, there's value in that.

One thing that has impressed me about him, is his accuracy throwing into tight windows. He is not afraid of the INT because he knows he will out it where the receiver has an advantage to catch the ball. But, that could get a QB into trouble in the NFL for sure.

No doubt. The thing is, and its disgusting, but the Bengals have so much money under the cap. That cap is meant to help small market teams. So what does Mike Brown do? Spend the least amount out of any NFL franchise. It makes me realize that Marvin Lewis was a helluva coach. I admit I wanted him gone, but I realize that it was never really his fault.

Very much so. Nowadays the Florida recruiting gets cut into by too many schools for any team to have a big advantage. Clemson has really hurt the Florida schools by stealing a lot of those guys. But LSU locks down the New Orleans guys, and that's become one of the bigger athletic hotbeds in the South.
