The Secret Service recently got intelligence reports that Iran was planning to assassinate Trump. So this was stepped up protection. What!? A kid with a rifle and a ladder was able to get on a roof directly across from a suspected assassination target during stepped up protection. What!? Nobody is losing their job because of this. There seems to be video clips of what is apparently the shooter running around screaming death to all fascists or something. It's silly, imo, to think this wasn't politically motivated. I'm just teetering on the fence with whether or not the SS allowed it to happen. It's either that or they are incompetent to a level we never thought was possible.

Seemed like a double-edged sword. On one hand, I'd like the fucker gone, but I don't want him assassinated cause he'll be elevated to a freak'n martyr (so yay, that didn't happen) but now he's getting all the sympathy buzz to move forward, so fucking hell! I'd rather it not happen at all lol.

I stumbled upon the footage and it is absolutely gruesome. This Dad and husband had his head brutally shot, killing him instantly while protecting his family from someone so low that words couldn't do it justice. Seeing the wife and daughter amongst the crowd in utter despair while the father was being tended to by other members of the crowd was just gut wrenching.

What I don't get is why so many people are so obsessed with the guy. He was terrible while in office, didn't accomplish much other than removing the stupid healthcare mandate from the ACA and lowering business taxes (which I was happy about tbh). But other than that he spent his entire term just talking shit on TV and giving a bunch of backwoods closet racist a voice.

Like I have said before. I don't hate the guy but he's not what we need and neither is Biden. We're fucked either way.

Because the media tries to say the opposite and dehumanize him all the time, Trump, his family and his team constantly are forced to go against that narrative. Talk shows have literally apologized for having him on their show saying they didn't mean to humanize him. He is a human.

I just seen a news report that Hulk Hogan was at the RNC event. I don't recall him ever appearing at one before. Seems like an odd choice IMO.
