What about something like Gattaca? Where everything about it is futuristic and hinges on fictional science stuff.
gattaca is a good case for exception to the rule. i think that movie exists to speculate and warn of where we could be headed, above anything else.
What about Primer?
I like Liquitex, mixing 75% white with 25% black to get an idea grey base tone (rather than using their stock grey), for Primer.

This trailer looks quite good. There's a character named Ginger and it made me think maybe a Ginger Snaps remake or a werewolf movie. I didn't know what I was watching. I'm in the theater. Lol
Not the same trailer I watched in the theater though.
There are commercials in between trailers. Never seen that before. Usually it's commercials, then trailers start, then movie. Now it's commercials, trailer, commercial, trailer, commercial, trailer, commercial.

My enthusiasm for that project is pretty low after seeing what we've seen so far of the "wolf man" FX. Defenders keep claiming it's just an "in between" transformation look, but it's still incredibly lackluster.

I haven't seen the trailer I posted, but the trailer I watched showed no transformation or a werewolf, just the guy being bizarre.

Universal Studios had a reveal for the Horror Nights, which is also seen some quick glimpses in the trailers show the same costume/make-up.
