The Angels have enough problems as an organization to worry about how an under-performing player is valued analytically.

I still say he should have thrown out a pitch!

He's been impossible to reach. He hasn't even done an interview with anybody. He essentially disappeared after that incident. No way were they getting him to throw out a pitch. But I would've liked seeing it.

But like Headward said, if they did that and the Cubs lost that game, holy shit the epicness that would ensue.

Works both ways though. The Cubs would have had extra motivation to make sure a guy who has already had his life ruined once not be killed because of them.

I get this great image in my head of Bartman in a luxury box, and as the loss closes people descend on it like the zombies climbing that wall in World War Z.

I need to get some Doyers playoff tickets. They are on a magical run.

I thought my buddy was bullshitting when telling me the Rockies are 15 games behind them all the sudden. That seemed to happen in like the blink of a fucking eye.

39-6 in their last 45 games. It's special.

I love when the Doyers get hot this time of year. They always do. Go on like a 29-4 run, then get burned in the first round. lol. Kershaw is like, what, 2-37 in the playoffs? lol. Baseball is all about who is hot at the end of the season. That's why so many wild card teams go far most years. Kansas City and San Francisco were the two wild cards that barely squealed into the playoffs a couple of years ago, and they wiped all the "elite teams" out with ease and met in the World Series. I want the Dodgers to stay hot until early-mid September, then get wiped out in the first round.

They're going to win a Workd Series in the next 5 years. It's just a matter of when. At some point, with their farm system and nonstop asset accumulation that never costs them, a lot has to go wrong for them to not get at least one. I'd get used to the idea now.

A lot goes wrong for them every year. They get hot when it's hot outside and cold when it's cold outside.

Exactly. The ball will bounce the other way at some point and when it does they'll have a better combo of veteran and young talent than any team in the league. Their payroll will keep skyrocketing every year.

One of the billion reasons I hate L.A.. Slimy thugs, dirty players. Always starting shit, and their fans are the worst fans in sports history. Scully is GOAT, though.

I don't know how you get so riled up by sports fans all the time, lol. It's like being bothered by the unruly behavior of wild animals. What do you expect?

I tend to judge a franchise more by its fan base.

That's irrational and comes across as just an opportunity to be negative, but gotcha . . .
