That awkward moment of feeling myself swell up as am writing out the climax of my graphic novel. Shit, I made myself get weepy over my own shit...this didn't happen in my outline.

Have done the same thing, it kinda sucks cause it makes it hard to write :P At the same time, you can be pretty certain that if the emotion comes through so well for you and you knew about it beforehand, it's more than likely going to come through for the reader and it's going to be raw for them.

Doesn't help that "Variation 15" from Dunkirk kicked in as I was writing that exact spot.
