Re: April 6th 2024
I was completely isolated in my showing of Late Night with the Devil. 10 years ago I would have loved this, but it's just another sign of social alienation and the incoming downfall of movie theaters. Don't get me wrong, seeing this horror movie alone in an empty theater was a tremendous experience, but as time has gone on it's making me more and more bummed seeing these theaters gradually becoming more empty when they used to be alive and thriving.

I'd like to see it, but it's not playing at my local theater. Looks like a pretty solid film, though.

Because it wasn't near me, I planned on waiting for Shudder as well. I'm happy they pushed for a theatrical run with it, just sucks it wasn't as wide-spread.
Re: April 6th 2024
Well I'll be damned. I guess I was lucky with the theater viewing. My area has two Cinemarks and one Cinemawest. Since it was a limited run, Late Night with the Devil was only showing at the Cinemawest theater which explains why it wasn't showing at any of my other theaters. Honestly, I'll probably see it again then since that's the case.
I decided to compare reviews for the three main horror movies that are out right now (LNwtD, Immacualte, First Omen) and noticed Late Night with the Devil had the highest reviews across the board among IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic and Google's audience score with Immaculate coming in last on all scores and First Omen coming in second. The First Omen caught me by surprise, though. I didn't think that one was coming out until later. Kinda lucky I checked showtimes and noticed it was there. I'll be seeing all three in theaters for sure.

If Shudder was so kind as to release Skinamarink on bluray, it gives me hope that Late Night with the Devil will see a bluray release too.
