J.D. Vance = Trump's VP
Honestly, I think Trump should have gone with someone seen as more moderate than Vance. He has a serious chance to win the election, but choosing a guy like Vance isn't going to do wonders with any swing voters that might be left.
I saw someone online say that by choosing Vance, his sympathy bump is now gone. I don't think it's that extreme, but still, Vance would not have been in my top five picks following the assassination attempt.

I blame liberals eating up that terrible book for this guy becoming a somebody.

Yeah it would be pretty tough to characterize the emerging right wing tech billionaire crowd Vance has latched onto as “anti-establishment”.zombie wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2024 4:45 pmthere's even a netflix movie.... is vance part of jason's evil establishment?Headhunter wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2024 4:26 pm He’s 100% bought and paid for by Peter Thiel. If the idea is to pull in voters from the middle or the other side, Tulsi would've been the ideal choice for Trump. VP is hardly an important role compared to senate leader or something like that and is more of an optics thing unless he steps down or is killed. I'm hoping Trump gives Rand Paul a very prominent role if he's elected president. He seems genuine to me.Jigsaw wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2024 3:42 pm Honestly, I think Trump should have gone with someone seen as more moderate than Vance. As far as Vance being establishment, the only way for that to be possible is if all along Pelosi, Clinton, Trump and just about everyone else are secretly on good terms behind the curtains, which I've always considered to be a minute possibility. The only ridiculous conclusion I've read is people assuming Trump took a bullet to the ear for street cred. Both the lone nut and establishment conspiracies are very possible though.
But I can sense I'm beginning to be painted poorly in here with my opinions not being respected, so I'll leave all the political speculation in the News & Politics board to you guys. I'm just using my best judgment in the pursuit of truth. I don't want to talk politics in here anymore.

if this has anything to do with my response to you, i apologize. i felt like i was just a sounding board for you rather than someone you're actually having a discussion with. so i got snarky and that's not really appropriate, i guess. but it is what it is. i never took shots at you, intentionally.Jason wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2024 5:44 pm But I can sense I'm beginning to be painted poorly in here with my opinions not being respected, so I'll leave all the political speculation in the News & Politics board to you guys. I didn't mean to make you feel like a sounding board.
I can get a little passionate about my viewpoints. But I'm very open to being wrong. I think it's important to realize no matter how much we read on something, we probably truly will never know most things.
Re: J.D. Vance = Trump's VP
I don't know anything about this guy and don't care. I hate the Republicans and Dems equally.
Politics is fucking tribalism.

GOAT VP for the GOAT Prez. Wait, this motherfucker has a movie directed by Ron "Backdraft" Howard? That is dope! I want a movie directed by Opie Cunningham, the fuck you guys talking.
Re: J.D. Vance = Trump's VP
if trump doesn't call him "peck" at least once during the next four years, for that connection, there will be a huge opportunity missed.
Re: J.D. Vance = Trump's VP
I guess I'll check out the movie at some point. Is it streaming only? Is there a bluray release?
Re: J.D. Vance = Trump's VP
Gotta admit DeSantis saying we can't have 4 more years of Weekend at Bernies was hilarious and spot on.
