LA Knight will defend the gold against Andrade on WWE SmackDown.

On the September 13 episode of SmackDown, Andrade defeated Carmelo Hayes to win their series of matches. They had been tied 2-2 heading into Friday night. After the bell, WWE United States Champion LA Knight interrupted and announced that Andrade would challenge him for the title the following week. This came after Knight got into a confrontation with Andrade and Hayes on the September 6 episode.

Andrade, the reigning WWE Speed Champion, held the WWE United States Championship in his previous run with the company. He left WWE in 2021 but returned at WWE Royal Rumble 2024.

Knight won the WWE United States Championship by defeating Logan Paul at WWE SummerSlam.

The thread is for all WWE no matter if it's discussing Raw, Smackdown, NXT or PLE. Creating different threads for each WWE event is redundant.
