Re: Aliens
I think all the UFO stuff is probably secret military spycraft and the intelligence community is happy to guide the “is it aliens” discourse to distract from their own projects. Read a great book about this called Mirage Men.
Do I think there is intelligent life somewhere else, just in general? Probably but I’m not super confident one way or the other.

Re: Aliens
I'm probably on the fence. I've been torn for years on whether it's all a government thing or it really is aliens. I would feel more confident believing all of the credible UFO stuff is the government rather than all credible UFO stuff being aliens.
I can't pull myself away from the idea that the Roswell incident was probably aliens, though.
And this crazy alien autopsy, which was supposedly debunked, but not for certain, is fascinating whether real or not. If this is fake, this is some other worldly (lol) production value

Re: Aliens
It just wouldn't be logical that earth is the only one of potentially trillions of planets that lifeforms evolved on

Re: Aliens
i believe we aren't alone in the universe. i'm not sure that we've ever been visited by extraterrestrials. but the truth is out there.
Re: Aliens
We're not alone in this universe, this galaxy, or even in this star system. Humans have been around less than 1 million years. We're still a very young civilization and for anyone to think/believe we are "it" and that we know and understand everything about existence is funking mind boggling. But with all the cover-ups, misinformation, and fakes that have emerged over the years it's no wonder the public is confused. I have hopes that the truth is finally out in the open within the next decade or so. I think the world will handle it well, especially the younger generations.

Re: Aliens
I'd definitely bet money there's other lifeforms out there, how intelligent though? We haven't gotten too far with our own space travel so they probably haven't either, I figure. We're just too far away from each other or if "the others" got the ability to star trek/warp speed it they missed us in all this vastness.
And yeah I think Area 51 and that stuff is just government nerds gone batshit and that's their island of misfit toys. Or is that Hangar 18? Warehouse 13? Doesn't X-Files have their own funhouse too?

You're saying because humans haven't accomplished real space travel tech yet, nobody else has either? that's just naive.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 10:48 am I'd definitely bet money there's other lifeforms out there, how intelligent though? We don't even know how old this universe truly is and to think other civilizations aren't older/more advanced than us is short sighted as well.
Our biggest problem is our division and infighting. If humans would pull their heads out of their asses and stop being soo obsessed with personal wealth/gain, fighting over trivial matters like politics and religion. We would get further ahead, solve real problems facing us and then focus on the advancement of our species as a whole and not just for the 1% personal gain.
And yes option 3 was me!

Re: Aliens
No, I said the possibility if they have the tech/means, maybe they hung a left instead of a right in their travels and haven't run into us. The universe is bigger than any of us can comprehend.Lazerus wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 11:47 amYou're saying because humans haven't accomplished real space travel tech yet, nobody else has either? that's just naive.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 10:48 am I'd definitely bet money there's other lifeforms out there, how intelligent though? Re: Aliens
I agree but this galaxy alone is home to billions (if not more) star systems. We are certainly not the only civilization to call it home and we're not off their radar either. I feel most of them see how we treat each other here and want nothing to do with us, perhaps there's something else on the planet they are studying. We tend to forget we're not the only species that lives here. Another possibility is they are keeping and eye on us as part of some threat assessment. Given our hostile/war like nature that makes sense to me.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 11:54 amNo, I said the possibility if they have the tech/means, maybe they hung a left instead of a right in their travels and haven't run into us. Re: Aliens
Honestly, I don't think we'd be interesting at all to a more intelligent lifeform. From afar, we are like they talk in the Matrix, just a bunch of smelly locust, consuming resources with reckless abandon until we deplete it and move onto the next, most the species going through the motions on survival instinct. If I see that, unless I want this rock, the actual soil and shit of the planet for something, I'm moving onto the next galaxy.

Re: Aliens
Bob Lazar's story about back engineering alien technology is extremely credible. Also doesn't just seem like a government plant.

Re: Aliens
it looks to be his story. i don't see evidence on the claims he's made, even beyond the alien technology claims. but you may have better sources.

Re: Aliens
I’m almost certain Bob Lazar is either bullshitting for the grift or bullshitting because spooks manipulated him. I don’t find him even a little bit credible.

Re: Aliens
To dig extremely deep, he claimed in the 80s (way back when he went public) that gravity is a wave and detailed how the alien vehicle he supposedly worked on manipulated gravity. Then in like 2015 gravity was changed from a pull to a wave. Something like that. A lot of the stuff he was talking about has come to light and is true. As if he was a scientist ahead of his time, but he was just detailing the things he supposedly saw from working on alien spacecraft.
He could be manipulating us all, but he seems credible to me. If you're interested, one of Joe Rogan's most viewed podcasts of all time was with Bob Lazar.

Re: Aliens
What do you mean, "Then in like 2015 gravity was changed from a pull to a wave."??? You saying somebody changed gravity and none of you motherfuckers told me or what?

Re: Aliens
There's so much to his story that I could be mixing something up. He also detailed an element back in the 80s that he worked on that was not known to the public. Then it was added recently to the periodic table. That might have been what I was thinking of. Element 115.Reign in Blood wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 1:07 pm What do you mean, "Then in like 2015 gravity was changed from a pull to a wave."???
