Jeally here. Going to be in the freak'n 80's all week. That's unusually high, even for here, at this time of year.

Summer is going to be butt-fuckingly-awful.

I just head over to the beach during the summer. Mission beach right here in San Diego or Venice Beach.

That one is cool too. It's heavy but gets catchy during the chorus.

I do prefer David Lee Roth however over Sammy. I think Roth has much better stage presence.

Same here. But, it took me years to like the Sammy stuff. I see it as Van Halen MkII. Like when Deep Purple had the MK2 version.

I don't get that luxury.

Better stage presence yes, but Sammy has far better pipes. Dude can sing. May not write great songs all the time (to be fair, Dave's lyrics can be cartoonishly weak too), but Sammy could sing both eras without sounding out of place.

Well, until he tries to improvise dialogue over breakdown passages and just sounds awkward :P That shit is where Dave shines.

I tend to think they fill each others gaps.

I had to be older to appreciate the Sammy stuff as well. It is more mature (mostly). I always dug Right Now and Humans Being when I was younger, so his material wasn't completely out of touch with me.

I like Dave better overall. I like more of his songs in Van Halen than Sammy. I dig Sammy though, good vocals. I would love to see Dave try and do his signature moves on stage now, probably would cause his knees to go out. :P Although I have seen very recent stuff on youtube and obviously he can't do that stuff anymore.

I was in high school when For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge came out. I bought the cd and it became a favorite album of mine. I still love it at 44 and actually own the cd, though not the same one. :P
