I gave my non horror DVDs to my sister because I just never watched them and space was becoming an issue. I did keep things like seasons of TV shows and live concerts. It was probably 200 I gave away.

My collection is divided up on a shelf. The horror films are divided by the decade they were made in. 80's being the largest :))
The non-horror are on a separate shelf. My collection consist of mostly Blu Ray and now 4K. I still have some DVD's but sold off most of them years ago. I once had over 200 VHS but sold them. I Regret that now :'(

Alphabetically, but horror has its own separate shelving/section.

i have a pre-90s shelf and post 80s shelf for non-horror. a general television shelf (minus joss whedon's tv stuff which is separated on another shelf) and then my horror collection. i keep bond together and also audrey hepburn's films and humphrey bogart's films. but otherwise it's all alphabetical unless more than one film is on the disc, then i just separate those out too.

My horror and non-horror movies are naturally separated.

Right now, my horror DVD's/Blu-rays are divded into two piles - those I have watched and reviewed and those I haven't yet reviewed. Because of the deep space limitations, I don't have anything like Jason's beautiful set-up (and personally, I don't think I'll ever have a nice set-up for them), but at least they're not on the floor like a lot of my books currently are.

Well, believe it or not, Zomb and I are two of the five. 8-)
Make sure it's a good edition and there will be 3
Ohhh I talk shit and everybody is a fan now. >:D Woodwork is calling, you guys need to report back!
I thought everyone enjoyed it in the group watch?
Not enough to pull a Jason and drop 150 bones on the deluxe special ultimate steelbook with 5 novels and a mint coaster inside. Pfft.

My DVD towers start with genre, horror, action, comedy, then everything else (drama, thriller, concerts), and then alphabetically from there. Then over in the big shelving unit/bookshelf I have the collections and TV shows, think LotR, Batman, Rocky to Game of Thrones, Band of Brothers and Married with Children loaded in there, to even all Disney and animated stuff too, if it makes sense to group stuff it goes there. That one is not alphabetical, as the name of the game is just fitting as much shit on the shelves giving the different sizes of shit. Both the towers and bookshelf are about maxed out. And then I have a bunch of DVD booklets loaded into a dresser with all my ripped/burned DVDs, those just organized by genre as alphabetically is too much of a pain to keep shifting everything. All in all over 5k of shit, only ballparked it in my head but it's definitely around/over that. Basically, if it's a movie worth a piss I gots it.

And yes I have Possession, but in the free ripped pile *pets 150 saved bones*

why is that? you're still supporting those filmmakers. i guess there is potential that the studio could change the flick or the service could go under and you'd lose those films.. but mostly i don't see the problem. i have bought a few too. but i'm also going to keep buying physical. both can be done.

I think you do not really own the movie. I had a good deal of films I bought from Sony on my Playstation 4 and than one day they were just gone I had no way of watching them again. That changed my way of thinking. I have thousands of dollars worth of films I purchased on VUDU. VUDU got bought by Fandango so now they are there. If Fandango should go belly up I'm possibly left with nothing.
